s7 and s8 will always get special treatment from samsung as these were the products that help them gain their momentum in the market shared especially after the disappointment of s5, s6 and note7 .... & I almost sure s20 ultra will get the same treatment.. a longer support..

End of an era. The S7 was the pinnacle of S series in my opinion.

The last great Galaxy S series

My s7 gps died. If it didn't I would be using it even today. Compact, flat, fast, good camera. Great flagship.

RIP a great phone series. It was all downhill from the Galaxy S8 onwards, becoming progressively worse.

Still rocking my S7 edge with LightROM v20 as secondary device to my S10+. Aged well and still supports the games and applications that I use. Only benefit of S10+ is it does it faster. And I can see the reason why people still uses S7 edge without needing an upgrade. Kudos to Samsung for the support. But until there is a major flaw found with android's security, I won't miss getting any updates at all since with this device, it just works.

Some people just value the ease of use and the convenience from an all new device. New is new, older phones is still older no matter how you want to make a statement about it. Some people game with their phone, some want endurance with their battery. Newer phones just does it better.

Galaxy S7 was the first Samsung smartphone I ever thought was worth my money; it checked almost every box on my wants list. Without planning to, I ended up buying one on launch day. It is also the last Samsung smartphone I thought was worth my money. Curved screens and larger footprints pushed me to look at other brands. The S10e got close, but somehow the punch-hole put me off more than notches.

+1 running s7, not edge, as daily driver... i've just replaced the battery but otherwise everything still works great, i found no reason to upgrade yet.. great camera and great screen.
Tip: if your phone is getting slow do a hard reset, it is night and dat difference after that, specially on a 4 years old phone if you never did it

Lol, I still use this phone and have no issue with it. Of course I will update this year to s10 or 20 though, but S7 it's still a good phone in 2020.

Mine is still my daily driver and working perfectly and totally up to the tasks other than its battery life. We'll see how much longer I can go without changing it.
