I just format my S7 edge to restore all the factory settings after last update few days ago.
It's a time-consuming process. But heck it's pandemic everybody got time at home.

The software is now running smooth, battery is great, screen is great, all apps are great.
Camera is great. Using 128gb card is flawless.
Just running like a new phone.

No significant drawback whatsoever compared to nowadays releases.

I used my S7 Edge for 3 years until last week when I bought an S10+.
Still a decent phone, battery is still holding on well. I am still using it without a SIM at home for leisure/entertainment and studying. The camera was really good at low light scenarios although in daylight it often did too dark images and videos in auto mode. Hopefully the S10+ is better in this respect.

Many people still have these phones as in many companies, including mine, you do not get flagships, but 1-2 year old models. I got mine 2 years ago and honestly, although not as good as my primary phone, it's still OK to use.

I'm still using my s7 edge up to this time since i bought it last 2016. It's still working fine. No plans yet of upgrading it since the battery and the camera is still good. Kudos samsung!

RIP. This phone is the last of its kind looks-wise. I really liked my flat s7 until it slowed down noticeably and i sold it. I'm never going for a samsung phone again though.

My Note FE had poor resale value and this is about the same as my iPhone 6s. Thanks Samsung, last time I'm buying your expensive rubbish with the S10. I expect more support for a device this expensive.

I almost forgot how prominent the curved was. It's nice they supported it for four years. I don't expect longer than that anyway. Doubt millions of people still keeping this phone. Probably most people already upgrade.

Well ... there is always flawless Lineage support for Samsung S series ;)
S7 seems to be running on LineageOS 17.1 - Android 10 core.

My wife had the S7 for three years until i got her the S10e. After that I used the S7 as a secondary phone to my iPhone 11 since it has such a great form factor. In my opinion, the S7 is the first Samsung phone that delivered a good software experience. Their skin got much better and the software support lasted not only 4 years from the phone's release, but was especially distributed very quickly on my unlocked European version (with the exception of its last year of official support when it only received quarterly security updates). For me, two version updates and four years of security updates from the day of release should be the minimum standard for all phones. My only cons for this phone: the battery life was only so-so, the exynos processor was not the best and the amount of dual or even triple apps from Google, Samsung and even Microsoft was a bit too much for the rather small internal storage. Besides Huawei I'd actually love to see Samsung succeed on their own app store, mobile services and/or operating system (Tizen). The more competition the better. But just looking at the current Galaxy Store app offererings, it's pretty clear that this is nothing more than my fanboy fantasy.

Bought it and sold it after a month , hated the curved screen.

Still my daily driver S7 non edge. Battery degraded now and just purchased replacement. Still after 4 years there is no device to grab me and be real upgrade over S7. Maybe next year Samsung will go Snapdragon only and make something good. Software updates are not important to me no payments or bank account on my phone or any sensitive infornation. Custom roms for S7 are total crap because of Exynos SOC being closed source mostly and always something dont work as it should.

4 years of support is very good. Kudos to samsung!

AmyHopps10, 07 Apr 2020This is why we have Custom ROMs to keep it up-to-date.Yeah, exactly.!

ya, not interested so much, i just sell it out, i get it 120€

                              okay.

I used to have a S7 Edge. That was my last Samsung phone... The camera was probably the best thing about it. Also had a decent development community from what I remember. May it rest in peace.

I owned the Galaxy S7. It was a pretty good flagship phone for its time. Compact size, premium design, great display, water proof, great cameras, fast charging, wireless charging, it had all these and more. Had to sell it because of the low internal memory and Hybrid SIM Slot. Such compact phones are rare these days.

I had S7edge! Bought it the same day it started selling around 2th of March 2006. I remember that day and that 5-6 months (before selling it I needed money, I loved the phone and didn't sold it because wasn't happy with it) experience with it.

This was my last Samsung phone! It is the last model that to me, was innovative, and above competition. And Note 7 ! Which had so bad luck with the battery.

S8 is still on monthly updates, the April one even came very fast: March 31.

I am still using S7 as my prime phone. Snappy, no hanging issues. However battery has long been decomposed knowinglyy by Samsung subsequent to Nugget update. Good camera, secure folder and less bloatware are pros. May go ahead another year, I hope.
