Phone with 192MP camera and Snapdragon 765G chipset coming next month

07 April 2020
A mid-ranger phone getting the highest resolution sensor ever? Why not, the Mi Note 10 was the first to go north of 100MP and it had the 730G chip.

Both the Nokia 808 and Nokia 1020 were in the class of their own. They still beat (photo quality-wise) any megapixel excesses of any phone today.

In the addition, the Nokia 1020 has the best OS for maximal productivity.

Today's iOS and Android cannot come close to the vastly superior Nokia 1020.

When the underlying OS is built to be a mega data-siphoning operation, big numbers is all that can attempt to obfuscate the disturbing theft taking place.

People need to be taught to comprehend the seriousness of Adoogle's operation, as the big numbers are superficial in comparison to the darkness lying beneath the hardware.

Pfff that's way too low. Why not 500mp?
Hey, why not 666mp and call if the devil upon us? F that!
Why not put a 999mp camera on the thing and make it the size of a fist as well. I can think of a few ways to use it..
Hey! Don't forget! It has to have a vibrator motor as well..

Because Iphone has at base iso just 8 of DR, while FF has 12.7.
You need to crack up ISO to 6400 do drop DR of FF to same value an iphone has at iso20.

Many cameras can do image stacking (called HDR+ by Google) but photographer prefer just to lift shadows because stacking introduces blur with subject moves and issues with white balance.

As you push HDR on cellphones, more artificial photo ends up. Why do you think some phones show blueish clouds on cloudy days instead of grays tones? The high contrast from Pixel? The yellow hues from Samsung?

No phone maker was able to make non-fake looking HDR photos so far.
Waste of time to prevent overexposed background if all the rest of the scene goes wrong.

My CyberShot has proper glass lenses with all optical requirements to deal with issues cellphones cant.

Compact cameras do not give you fake looking images with purple or navy blue sky, no yellow hues, no tons of oversharpening nor faces made out of wax.

Shanti Dope, 07 Apr 2020Clearly this high megapixel count competition doesn't reall... moreFor 1/1.33" sensor, 108mp with 9to1 pixel binning gives 2.4 micron pixel size.
This is the Same pixel size that can be obtained via traditional sensors, although it will have to be a bigger 1" sensor.
192mp camera with 1" sensor will give effective pixel size that can only be obtained by a sensor larger than 1 inch.
You can't just slap a big sensor on cellphones. Cellphone cameras will never be as big as Dslr. So manufacturers are resorting to Quad Bayers and Nona Bayer sensors.
With improvements in Algorithms, they will only get better.

So called "experts" in the comment section, have zero idea as to how computational photography works on a granular level. Their mouths will be shut as soon as image processing Algorithms for high Megapixel Quad Bayers surpass traditional sensors in every case.

So computational photography is the way to go. It's already beating Dslr in many conditions in Auto mode (which is the entire purpose of point and shoot)

But I do not know what settings are best for all momments.

My point is that when different settings are used, it leads ppl to think A is better than B when it can be just matter of setting or hardware.

Phone with 1/1.2" sensor has the obligation to do better than a phone that has 1/2.5". No matter the software is good or bad. It is a huge hardware difference.
1" camera will never beat Apsc, no matter how improves software can be.

                          Compare 1/3" against 1/3", not against 1/1.5".
                          Compare 1/2" + iso400 against 1/2" + iso400, not against iso1200.

Iphones have issues with colours at night simply because it does not let you choose right WB. Auto mode failed here.

No, it wouldn't. Only extreme shadows would look much worse due to read noise. A bright sky wouldn't have much more noise than a low resolution sensor of the same size. In perfect light conditions without shadow areas the noise is mainly the photon noise, which exists in the reality: objects (for example the sun) emit /reflect a slightly different number of photons every millisecond. This causes noise in the image. It has nothing to do with pixel size.
