why does apple think they have all the science of the world? think they CAN dominate? they're the ones who should be banned for making patents over something that is so not important. make innovations apple, not domination. well iphone sucks though..

Android has that select an option feature since 2.1! i know because i have a spica and i usually depend on this feature for different purposes (ie. saving contacts or clicking/ saving a web link)! Insane fact is, apple has been patenting at a weird rate (since steve jobs died!)

How many patents Apple hasn't violated so far? And yet Apple expect other brands to respect their useless patents.
I don't know why such a crappy company like Apple isn't in bankruptcy yet, oh wait! I think I know, probably it's due to all of the people that is hypnotized by Apple's Marketing and so they buy their products because they are afraid of trying better products.
Just think about it, what was Apple's answer with the heating issues of the iPad, well they blamed the customer by saying that they weren't holding the iPad correctly and that's why it heated.
Why Apple is incapable of recognizing that their products are rubbish?
The only thing that Apple has ever done well was their slogan "Think Different", and you know what, I thought different and that's why I'm enjoying an HTC One X rather than an iPhone.

I bought my one x the day it went live...I am with AT&T...I'm reading all this news and I think I have a one x that violates apple patents..lol...this phone is awesome...I'm not missing my iPhone 4s at all....

Assuming the reporting is right, is this #$&*# serious? Apple has essentially patented the "select app to open your link" dialog box? Seriously? That functionality isn't even available on iOS!

on topic: here's an idea - Apple could easily sue the writers and why not the readers of the Bible because somewhere in Genesis there is a story of a woman eating an apple. this is clearly an obscene patent infringement.

Apple's just trying to slow down the competition to reduce the pace they're going at. But it's already too late, android OEMs are going to surpass apple on the hardware side within a year and Android is getting real close to breaking past iOS in overall OS quality.

Anonymous, 17 May 2012foreign? LOL Motorola is US :)i Know Motorola is US :)), but i wrote in hurry and there i had 2 ideeas: first that US favors national companies and second, from national companies US favors Apple and no others (e.g. Motorola). That's why Motorola is in that list..my mistake.

I just wish Google would back Motorola & hammer apple with the GSM patent, offer them the option of leaving all Android phone makers alone or stop them using GSM.
I bet apple would soon back down as without GSM the iphone would not exist in any meaningful way.
