Just shows how low Apple will stoop to be number 1 by hook or by crook. They'll probably sue me for this comment.

I heard that iPhone 5 will have 4" screen, well if that's true that's two year old fashion, nobody wants to see anything smaller than 4'3". I guess Aple is falling behind not only in technology but in design as well, may be this is part of the reason why apple is doing g everything in their power to prevent any more advanced phone coming into the country. After all we all know that HTC One X and Galaxy S III are state of the art phone and probably Apple is struggling to make a better phone.

DrMartens, 17 May 2012Apple only did this because they know that One X and simila... moreHTC One, the new Samsung Galaxy S, Moto's and Sony's new phones are all better than the iPhone, but that doesn't mean they'll sell better. People make their choices by inertia and peer pressure.

In the future, an imported smartphone to the US must be sold without an OS. This way is not infringing any "Apple" patents. After you bought it and turn it on for the first time will ask you this: "Do you want to download and install "whatever" OS?" "It could have a few stupid Apple patents in there" "Are you sure?" "Its your phone, do what ever you want?"
There you have it, no more patent infringement.

I wonder how they got the patent for such a trivial idea, btw it is something has been around for many years... you click on a link in a browser and the browser asks what you want to do with that object, a list of actions or applications to use and the option to do the same thing from now on. I guess it was in firefox since version 1, and probably in Netscape before. Is this what Apple calls "innovation"?

Why doesn't Microsoft sue Apple for this? I don't quite understand how this patent stuff work, but Windows was first to ask with what program certain files, links et cetera should be associated with. Please help me if I'm wrong.

If someone belive that this is played fair..should think twice. US are very protectionist and Apple has a very big influnece there. And because US citizens don't bother with it (hell, they may be even proud to support a "national" company), the authorities are supporting Apple without any reserve and the judges are partisan to Apple..this is how the thing will go in US for all foreign firms that are threatening Apple (like Samsung, HTC, Motorola, etc). They will suffer stupid under belt blows like this one and Apple will be protected (As in HTC vs Apple graphic patent war ). But that's life...unfair. Now, if everything is a mistake from US Customs..who will pay for the delay and the losses of HTC for this unjust blocking?

steve-o, 17 May 2012there is a special place in hell for appleLOL! ...and to tell you the truth Apple, if people really likes you, no matter how many your patents are, they will still choose you. If not, why make people have no choice?
