It appears to be a software bug, introduced with the latest OTA and related to certain apps, refresh rate and brightness settings.

      So when I saw you talking about the refresh rate and colors, I thought you're saying high refresh rate doesn't impact on color accuracy.

            If you look into Monitors. The more the refresh rate the less color accurate it is.

            Now can you give a example of a monitor with high refresh rate with professional grade color accuracy ?

                Why are you talking about light source of LCD ?
                Emitting the light 120 times per second won't give you 120Hz refresh rate.
                OLED suffers less because OLED can do it just emitting the actual pixel.
                For this OLED can do as much as LCD, like 240Hz or 300Hz.

                  I understand why huawei didn't use such high refresh rates. They can now learn from their competitors and make their phone fully adaptable

When I google regarding refresh rate and colours. Top 10 includes, degradation of colours with higher refresh rates. So you should do some research before commenting.

                              The impact on LCD is more than OLED. But OLED can't match LCD's high refresh rate.

                              Actually every feature is linked to other features. You choose one feature, you lose another. The manufacturers prioritize one feature over another. It entirely depends on the brand's choice.

                                        Kirin 980 was even behind Exynos 9820 by a respectable margin.
                                        And here you are saying Exynos 990 can't match the Kirin 980. Seriously ?

                                        I admit that Exynos can't keep up long term demanding gaming compared to Qualcomm SoC.
                                        But even while throttling It's still better than Kirin SoC. Also according to 'AndroidAuthority', Krin 980's GPU performance is behind Exynos 9820 ans is last gen exynos9810/SD845 SoC level. Here
