Finally a small phone! But I have to be honest, I'm utterly disappointed by the pricing here in Europe. 400$ would be around 370€ but in the end it got to 480€, that's even more than the original SE from 2016. With more storage it even comes close to the XR.

This is a great buy. If a person knows how to use a phone smartly ( without worrying about bezels and megapixels of cameras), this is one of the best choices.
Quite possible this will make life tough for Pixel 4a and Oneplus 8 siblings, specially in India.

This is the PocoPhone of this year.
And seems that Apple will throw us every 3 years a new iPhone SE.
Still, this one looks interesting. Aparently this one will have 4 GB RAM. If that so... the next iPhone would start with 6.
Definately NOT a Flagship Killer, but is the phone made to ruin the Mid Range of Android.
Harsh times for Android has finally come.
And now for me the slogan for it would be:
"You don't need googles or expensive phones to have the best for the price".

MadMel, 15 Apr 2020400$ for SoC, rest you could just throw away ...Let's see how many "SoC collectors" will there be in the world ;) It's by no means a meaningful upgrade for X, XR, XS owners and probably even iP 7/8 owners might want to wait this one off. But I can see this as a feasible "first iPhone for the budget-conscious myself" or a ...5/5S/6/6S/SE upgrade. Why not?
Anyway, it would be nice to get rid of comments like "Total trash, anyone buying it is a !" IN GENERAL. It doesn't serve any meaningful purpose, just stoking the negative emotions. Of course there are excellent phones, good phones, mediocre phones and bad phones. But if someone wants this or that phone, all right. Let's give a polite, neutral, non-emotional, constructive opinion/advice. Let's not scoff or swear. It's JUST a phone, folks...! ;)

I'm no Apple fan and I've used only last-years Android flagships because I can buy them twice as cheap, but man. This is a great phone for that price. Sure, the screen is pretty small and the bezels are pretty big, but that's the point of the phone, to be rather small. But what kind of Android phone can you get at 400$ with this kind of performance and camera quality? This phone has the same camera as the 11 Pro, sure you don't get ultra-wide nor tele cameras, but the primary camera is the same.
At 400$, almost no Android phone has stereo speakers, IP67 and this kind of build quality (I'm so tired of plastic phones).
The Pixel 3A has similar camera quality, but that's it. It's got no IP rating, a plastic case, a mono speaker.

No, read the specifications. It doesn't have dual pixel autofocus. It also doesn't have a night mode. Selfie camera is worse, too. Therefore the camera is a significant downgrade compared with the iPhone 11 main camera.

Even if we convert the 400$ into INR which is approx. 30K INR (Usually Indian taxes result in a higher price than the one shown in USD). A majority of smartphone buyers purchase phones for less than that amount. Also, majority of Realme and Xiaomi's products are below that amount.

Great camera and processing power and all but... Imagine playing 400 bucks for a 4.7 in LCD in 2020.
Well, I suppose it might have its fair share of audience in the US, but for a little more you might as well pick up an XR or 11.
Either way, for the rest of the world there's probably better choices, given that in EU it'll cost around 600$.
