Whackcar, 23 Apr 2020Yeah, some people are obsessed with software updates. I... moresecurity? Somebody will eventually find a way to hack older software phones. And what about bugs?

JDK, 23 Apr 20201. Better Camera? There is no way that nubia ever has a bet... moreBuddy I'm not here to argue. You think the iPhone SE is the better phone? That's fine with me.

All I'm saying is that the iPhone SE is not giving the best bang for your buck. At $400, you can get better value for your money elsewhere, and I've stated one such example.

Clearly you don't agree with me, so it's pointless to argue.

Only midgets are buying this phone.
4.7 inches display is outdated compared to the 6.5 inch average of Android phones.
Content consumption, gaming, web browsing everything is better on big screen.
Heck even texting and typing using a keyboard on tiny 4.7 inch screen is cumbersome for most users.

IPhone SE is a niche device which will only be preferred by people who want smaller compact phones. Majority of the users aren't going to sacrifice the big screen real estate.

Whackcar, 22 Apr 2020Exactly! The reason it is cheap is because it is cheap and ... moreI'm interested actually, for now at least
I've been using android since samsung galaxy pocket, and kinda despise apple due to price and performance ratio
Iphone SE 2020 maybe a thing or not
Because of iphone price in my country tends to more expensive
It's $399 in United States (?), But in my country it might become equal to $500 or $600 or even $600?
IMO, this pricing caused by the fanboy and the people thought about how prestigious Iphone is
        .
In conclusion $400 is ok, more than that... My ROG phone 2 is good enough for me

Whackcar, 22 Apr 2020It really comes down to your preferences. With the Nubia... more1. Better Camera? There is no way that nubia ever has a better camera than iPhone SE. In my opinion, Nubia's inferior image processing loses to the addition of an ultrawide camera(macro and depth cameras too low resolution to ever be useful).
          2. Better Design? Maybe the edge-to-edge design is more futuristic, but it is up to you: wacky gaming phone design or more general build.
          3. Screen is already part of better specs.
          4. Apple A13 like twice as fast as snapdragon 765G. And I don't get what you mean by "diminishing returns". Faster is faster, that's a fact.
          5. 144hz plus AMOLED display is gonna take a huge hit on that battery. And I am guessing apple A13 is more conservative than snapdragon 765G. In the end, they are probably tied.

Sore, 23 Apr 2020I don't understand people like you who praise updates. It's... moreYeah, some people are obsessed with software updates.

I've kept some of my older phones, and they still work well with their "outdated" os. Even most popular apps are still supported on them.

OS updates are beneficial, but not necessary.

Kriegsherr, 23 Apr 2020If apple SoC doesn't have real world benefits then who has?... moreThe point i was making is that all latest phones (midranger or flagship) are so fast in day to day use, that having a faster SoC doesn't really show a big difference anymore. So while Apple SoC is faster than any other SoC, it won't matter to most users.

The exception is gamers and people obsessed with benchmarks.

Whackcar, 23 Apr 2020It has the same camera as the iPhone 8, which isn't that gr... moreIf apple SoC doesn't have real world benefits then who has? Surely ios is the most polished mobile OS. IPhone is a more optimized product and it works like one. Who cares about benchmarks?

Anonymous, 23 Apr 2020The lack of Night mode for the camera is a big con, they sh... moreThat could come with a software update. "Night Mode" isn't rocket science. It's just capturing multiple exposure shots, and merging their data.

On Android, you can get night Mode on any compatible phone with the help of gcam.

Whether Apple will provide it or not is upto them though.

It's not like if there are no updates you cannot turn your phone on anymore. I have 2 Samsung phones that are 5 years old and work still perfectly, still in use by my parents. (Samsung A5 2015 and A7). Both of these phones have a display much better than this "revolutionary" iPhone SE. In my country this phone starts at 530€ so it is a very bad deal. For 360€ I bought an excellent phone with a battery that lasts 2 days and a much better display and Snapdragon 855 perfect for gaming.

The SoC is better on the iPhone, but won't provide real world usage benefit. So unless you're into benchmarks, it won't matter.

The lack of Night mode for the camera is a big con, they should've included it. I miss Touch ID & the size, my iPhone 11 is way to big still not used to it

A Headphone jack too would have been a good deal.
They are now trying to sabotage the market of mid-range users who still prefer the headphone jack.

Androids have 2y of software life so you would have to buy at least 2 phones in that time span to get same service. Give me a 200$ Android that compares to the SE, now and again in 2years
