It seems to be demise of nokia. They acted smart and sold their fones with huge profits. They fooled people. But the time has changed. Samsung gave us value for money and a tough compi to Nokia. Had Nokia given us the right hardware confi, better processing speed and power, samsung's trial of beating nokia would have been a distant dream. Nokia has done another mistake by adopting windows. Lets see if windows can do any wonder like android did to this mobi world.

we must all admit that symbian will eventually a part of the history as nokia will support it till 2016 only or maybe earlier who knows, but it will not stop me from buying 808.

Anonymous, 24 May 2012...er, probably why i stated full res lol.I agree: ergo, "What you're talking about are the 10-18Mb files which are the full resolution 34, 38MP."
Merely stating the fact that:
a.) 10-18Mb files = 34, 38MP resolutions (Full Resolution);
b.) 1-2Mb files = 3, 5, 8MP resolutions (PureView).
When you really have to send it, like to beat a deadline or something of similar situation, you can always compress+split the photo into 2MB pieces as rar/zip archive then email those as attachments.
Or find a PC.
Cheers!

I know my last one (the nokia n8 running belle), was at least twice a week on avg. I would say this performance is poor lol. Look at the stats, it's the most unstable OS for smartphones on the market ;o)

I was a nokia fan back in the day but was hugely disappointed that they let symbian die by sipmly not updating it or keeping up with other OS's seeing as they were innovative market leader. This is why the 808 will not succeed and as for nokia joining up with WP...well this is another struggling OS and in my opinion MS have F'd it up from the start.

I don't think so. They have made the award winning phone the 808 pure view on symbian, does it sound normal that they are just dismising symbian? They are playing with our minds... they will eat all of the other OS around...

Time to move to Windows Phone 7.5, people. Windows Phone is superior to anything right now in terms of user satisfaction and user experience. Lumia 900 won CES 2012 award. Apple co-founder Steve Woz said Windows Phone and their apps are beautiful and intuitive and he likes it better than Android. Consumer Reports recommend the Lumia 900 for smartphone buyers. Lumia 900 is the top rated phone everywhere. The list goes on and on. Don't look at the specs sheet and say it sucks. Give Windows Phone a try, you'll like it.

Anonymous, 24 May 2012Are you kidding?!? Performance wise it's no better than wh... moreThe problem is I couldn't find any dedicated cameras that perform slr level at that price point. And I never want to carry the burden of 2 device at the same time.
Here's some statement to clarify my point
* Do you need a major firmware update for your HDTV? NO
* Do you need a major firmware update for your Gaming Console? NO
* Do you need a major firmware update for your Digital camera? NO
As long as they work properly then we wont need a major firmware update.
You don't buy phones just for their firmware update you know.. You buy phones for the functions. You don't buy phones just to swipe their screens with their fancy ooh aah all day long (maybe some fandroids do) *chuckles*
