That was a behaviour I observed with my Redmi Note 4 as well years ago. I have found a workaround but nowhere near a fix. It's on Mi Community by TJMAX.
Messages probably delayed or broken because they go through China's logging servers first hehe.

trilulilucoder, 02 May 2020But they have your data already.. Sue them!XD I would have little to no chance, plus being on the China list wouldn't be wise. It is what it is, we can't really bring up human rights in a Chinese court can we?

Xiaomi is now slowly making their way on top and desperately their opponent are crafting new stories. Pity on them, they become out of innovation so they simply make their opponent look bad. Go Xiaomi.

In the end, you can always sold your Xiaomi device, and buy another, where is no news about collecting data, cheating on Antutu, degrading performance etc.. If you find that one, write here, because i also want that os, device and brand. Thank you

Same goes for all OEMs, with OWN skin (Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo, vivo, Sony, LG...), all of them have own browser, own app gallery, own file manager, own music player etc, only those with launcher3 (read androidONE), does not have anything, same goes for Pixel devices. But hey, only MI browser collect data, so we are safe with others, i hope so.. /s (:

That's very true. I also noticed it and all the companies keep on tracking all user activities worldwide . they have control for sure over everything peeps. So, don't think anything in your phone is safe.

Is this your argument? You can write articles about anything this way. It's like saying your mom is a spy collecting data because she's cheap.

You can manage your Google Account and turn off many tracking options. Xiaomi however doesn't let you uninstall bloatware like their browser. Silently logging sensitive info.

Almost every article in Forbes related to Apple is in a negative way.
And this Xiaomi collecting data thing might also be true, considering they are providing top specs in low prices (like OPPO vivo etc).

Data is collected all the time from Google, Facebook, you name it. Most Social media platforms does it.
Google probably the worst to collect. For instanse, how do you think they manage to determine traffic in Google Maps? They collect EVERYTHING.. and to them it is pretty normal and they do not hide the fact that they do it.

A letter and word: e Foundation
That OS needs to be supported. They don't track anything, all their default apps are improved forks of open source apps, and their app store even has a privacy rating.

"recommendation of". If you turn off recommendation(s) (it takes like 21 seconds for all that), there is no ads, at all, ever, also no tracking (for those targeted ads). Like i sad erlier, MIUI is for advanced Android users, if you're one of them you sould turn of MSA sys app, also (but i doubt, sorry).. not for those who use, iOS or Stock Android, fact (:

Indeed having my data in China is not an option, looking at how they opress human right activists in it and try to brainwash minorities. Thats not a country where you want your data stored, do you?
