Realme X3 Pro with Snapdragon 865 may have been spotted at AnTuTu

07 May 2020
The RMX2072 posted a 600,000+ score and may be a gaming phone. It is allegedly related to the two X3 phones that leaked recently.

I like mobile games designed for touchscreen, not subpart ports on PC games.

Just because you can play in a 2gb old phone doesn't mean u dont need a gaming phone... Your comment just tell me you are not really into phone games and you are not really good at it.. the frame drops on low end device is crazy you will already die when ur frame got stabilize. Hence a device with powerful set up is needed.
Realme x3 superzoom 8g and 128 gb variant with its build on paper does not deliver what is expected. When using it.. even after update. Realme x2 pro still lead and is more stable at 60 fps.. Tested on Pubg mobile. Still realme x3 did really good. And the price is still loved.

Interesting concept but nowadays manufacturers are oriented to folding displays. Even Alpha is a limited edition..

Outside of the bass (that need a big surface to be really deep and loud enough), smartphone speakers are still too small for making really good sound, I remember when changing the display of my GF's old Xperia XA how surprised I was at how small the speaker is.

I didn't knew this phone, I just knew the Huawei P30 Pro did the display speaker and few other followed, I don't know much about earlier phones.

I don't want curved display neither, imagine a phone with border that protrude like that :
              https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1376/7357/files/product-image-356599429_grande-1_grande.jpg
But on the sides, there are two thin and long tactile displays, they are also further in than the border, they are kind of buried, making them hard to hit by accident.
Though a soft non display part on the top hide physical power and volume buttons as backup.

I will take a flat display anyday over a curved screen but if you want a side display, maybe take a look at the Huawei Mate 30 Pro? That one doesn't have volume buttons, you can change that with the side display, not really sure how it works..

My ideal phone would have flat main display, thin border that protrude a little (to protect the phone), and one display on each side that replace power and volume buttons (hard to accidentally touch because of the borders) and allow many macro, icons, shortcuts and other features, including icons and notifications, said borders should also be able to serve as notification light, with multiple rhythms, colors and patterns of each notification.

For audio, wasn't the display used as a speaker a good idea ?

Now almost every manufacturer is focusing on cameras and power, but these are already powerful enough, it's not like everyone has become a professional photographer overnight, in the end all photos ends being uploaded to Instagram, Facebook, just tired of food and dogs photos.. There are other components that should be be improved on, like batteries, sound.. Glad to see that manufacturers starts to put bigger batteries in their phones and I really hope EU is going to impose removable batteries for phones..

Oh, and I forgot about led notification light, it was really useful, but the madness for bezel-less phones has removed that also.. I still have a Note 3 (with a custom Rom ofc) and really I miss the led, now I think only Xiaomi and Asus is putting it on their phones, maybe others but I don't know..
LG had their QuadDac for superb audio quality but seeing it is absent from their new Velvet line, I am not sure about it's future existence too, really hope they have not removed it for always..

And yes, gaming phones have started the high refresh rate, and if I am not wrong, Razer is the first one who did it.

New phone get better battery capacity because the technology improve, but also because phone have become larger and taller...
The new norm/average this year is 4000mAh to 4500mAh.

The market is stagnant, but I think this is because a lot of new things are about to come really soon.
And yeah, my OnePlus 6t with its SD845 is more than enough, though for future proofing, better buy the latest one when we want to change, but I won't change my 6t for any SD 865 or 875 (coming soon™) unless it have features that I really want.

Well miniled are now on some TV and there are the first microled already in the market, it will come to the smartphone and wearable pretty soon, I guess before the end of the year ?
For the batteries, the next step that also coming soon (few years) is solid state batteries, they have tons of improvements, including capacity.
For Graphene, that's actually for display, a while ago, we thought carbon nanotube display would be the next thing, but finally Oled are better, but Graphene display are a heavy upgrade on Oled, they already even beat the microled.

Totally agree ! Though 3.5mm jack and USB-C ports should be replaced by magnetic connectors, we should have two microSD slot in their own compartment and dual sim also in their own, infrared, NFC, notification light and many other things should be mandatory on all middle range and higher !
And yeah all those useless things added, if at least you make the border being luminous to serve as ambiance, notification border and stuff like that, why not !

I didn't checked the chronology, but isn't it gaming smartphones who started the high refresh rate display and touch sampling ?

I will take a thicker phone with large battery any day over those thin phones.. I had a Moto Z2 Play, which was thin with a 3k battery, although it had pretty good battery life, but imagine if it had a bigger one? Although now I see more and more phones with big batteries are released, wich is a good sign, you can keep the phone for at least 2 years. Good for us, good for the environment. I myself have an Oppo A9 2020, with a 5k battery, and it's not hard to handle nor the weight... But in general, I feel that the phone market is stagnant, nothing really new, all phones look the same, no really new improvements on this front. Every year they keep releasing new Soc's, but right now these are already powerful enough, I am pretty sure that a person won't feel the difference between a Snap 845 and 865.. There was talks about microLed for a few years and nothing till today, graphene batteries and again no real improvements, things which were useful are being removed (3.5mm jack, microSD, infrared), and other strange ones are added (notches, punch-holes, led-stripes).. Gaming phones bring something new to the 'game', but nothing revolutionary, Really, I think somehow the whole phone market is going in wrong direction..

Even though, as I commented in the 6000 mAh battery RealMe news, if peoples weren't obsessed by ultra thin phones and accepted 1,5Cm or half an inch thick smartphones, many more features would actually be put in our smartphone and they would cost less.
Well, the owners of Samsung with Exynos wouldn't agree about apps in general doesn't make the phone heat up, also a more efficient cooling would help with battery life and quicker charging, and many peoples play game or run heavy apps on non gaming smartphones.

Batteries capacity always increased, but I wouldn't be surprised if Flagship tried to match the Gaming ones to stay relevant...

Why having dual USB-C shouldn't allow for Jack too ?
There are multiple scenario where two USB-C can come handy, and anyway magnetic ports is the future, which take way less space and can allow for multiple ports.

There are many transparent cases that look really good, for a while that's what I had with my OnePlus 6t, a transparent case with blue sides which looked beautiful, I changed it for one with electronic board image on the back but the print quality is bad :'(

I like that they are putting big batteries in gaming phones, but recent flagships started to do that too.. Do we need dual USB? I'll better have a 3.5mm audio plug. Two USB is good if you want to use some accessories and chargeat the same time, otherwise I don't know. To be honest I really like how some of the gaming phones look but I keep all my phones with a case so..

From connectivity to screen touch frequency. To algorithms, and also antenna arrangement. As well as being able to directly plug into the ethernet ports for even higher performance. The screen tech is something else... The 240 hz or 270hz or even 300hz touch zero lag and how all that feeds through to the cloud system is literally immediate.

I don't dispute the abilities that flagship devices may have. But most are not able to have a unified direction of cutting edge tech specifically for gaming. They are good though. And you can play games of course... But gamers who like myself who push our phones to there almost limits. And rely on zero lag and mili second precision timing as well as screen accuracy. It makes a huge difference... Especially when the frame rate is at least 90FPS. Your reaction timing and response is even more critical as you now have an extra 30 frames per second to deal with...

And well, as I said, some consider Candy Crush as gaming, past a time Pong and Tetris, who are less evolved than Candy Crush, were the pinnacle of gaming, Smartphone can run games way more complex than those on the Gameboy, actually Smartphone can even simulate a Gameboy running those games, and they are clearly gaming, I don't see anything the Super Nintendo could do that a Smartphone can't...Yet, it is real gaming.

Smartphone have became the most important piece of tech we can have, they allow to make call and send text message, they act as virtual agenda, small computer to go on internet and can do a lot of things, CPU wise many argue that the raw power is actually really close between those ARM (RISC) and CISC CPU like mainstream PC CPU...
But they are also one of the least cumbersome tech we can have, so for all those who like games but are often not at home, they are great device to actually practical and a real deliverance, not anyone can take his laptop everywhere, and many, including me, will argue that this isn't a smart idea to play on your laptop anyway...

So at the end, what is "gaming" anyway ? We can't just put certain game in that category and consider any other as gimmick that are not part of the gaming world, some will even consider Tamagotchi as gaming...

The photo quality is reasonable. But amazing for night images... Check out Gary explains for the night mode. And I have come across very few bugs. Very few.

My phone is an excellent all round phone for my use.

Remember that gaming phones have reasonable cameras. They are not camera phones. But they are improving. They are gaming phones. And that they excel at.

However.... If you want a luxury or traditional flagship device. Your probably going to end up with a camera phone... And the cameras are going to be superb... But that phone is going to be able to play games of course.... But nothing at all like a gaming phone... Even if the screen has a higher refresh rate....

So. You either have a camera phone that can play games okay... But...
You can have a reasonable camera on a gaming phone.... And... Game in a way that wipes the floor with all flagship luxury phones. Sorry. They just cannot compete. Although clearly Android handsets are better for gaming generally than iPhones.

I am not at all paid by Nubia. But I am just being honest with you. Until you, yourself have a gaming if your a gamer... You wouldnt want any other phone.

My red magic is an excellent daily driver. Better than most infact. Why?

Well. I can do everything I need to do...

If that is one thing about gaming phones... There camera night mode is easily comparable to an iPhone 11 Pro max.

As for all this bug talk... My phone is absolutely fine. I have more bugs in individual apps from time to time than the OS on this phone.

Immerse yourself for an hour into real racing 3 or cod or pubg at 90fps... That's right I have pubg at 90fps with a 90hz screen. (Hex Editored). Stereo ATX. Bass and seperation that makes the iPhone 11 Pro sound tinny.... And come 1st place most of the time... That buttery smooth resolution with almost literally no ghosting...

That razor sharp game play that leaves your opponents thinking you must be cheating? As if your game play is impossible... The fact that your phone has zero lag anywhere.... Connection, touch, everything... A processor that is Overclocked like crazy. Settings that force GPU and cpu to the max. Your fan is keeping your phone stable as it's brute force just leaves your opponents in shock... Shock that they just don't stand a chance against you... They just didn't see you coming...

Graphics and game play set on maximum... And still just effortly cruises... As if it's just a piece of cake for your phone... And the A13 is sweating... Lagging. And just can't cope...

Yep... I am a gamer... You might be a photographer... Or social media sort of person... Well I can do all that pretty reasonably...

But gaming... That's me. And my phone.... That's why I bought it. I have 2x phones in one. And yes. I like my photos. Not the best. But pretty good for what I need... But the night images are on another level... Now they are very good.

So for the record... I am not paid by nubia. I am just enthusiastic about gaming phones. I think it's excellent that we have gaming phones. Why not?

                                        And I represent gaming.

Don't get me wrong. I am impressed with camera phones. Premium mainstream phones. Budget phones. I am impressed with all Android phones. I do admire non gaming phones quite a bit.

But personally speaking. Nothing appeals more to me.... Than gaming phones... I love the designs. And best of all. I love a few sessions of intensive, heavy, powerful gaming... Where you are fully aware and relying on that cpu/GPU and screen and connectivity and zero lag... Making sure that you don't miss a single frame of action... When gaming at my level of capabilities... You need extreme performance because you are pushing the phone to its absolute maximum for periods of time. You are naturally pushing it to almost its full potential for everything... Zero throttling....

I hope you understand... That I love gaming very much. Of course I am going to be biased towards gaming phones....

Its time some of us might start to see if a gaming phone could be of great use as opposed to the typical sort of smartphones... It's time for more choice in the Android world... And gaming phones are another great choice we have...

I hope every reader even if they dont need a gaming phone. At least appreciate the principle that we have gaming phones.... Not just that we have gaming phones... But we have the best gaming phones on the planet...
