my one X screen has failed after two days, spoke to htc to comfirm it was a hardware fault and they said I had the latest update. Carphone warehouse cant replace it because they have all been recallled for a software update, All the stores I checked with have returned theres, is it just CPW doing this? Love this phone, will wait for a replacement:)

Beats Professional , 29 May 2012as of firmware update 1.28, the HTC One X unbranded interna... moreYes I noticed this as well. The Beats Pro setting was amazing! I have spoken to HTC about it. They said the equalizer will automatically recognise your headphones. So if you're using beats pro headphones then it will provide this setting whilst plugged in. My arguement to them was "how about give us a choice!"
Anyhow back to the subject matter. I bought 2x HTC ONE X's (one white from CPW, one black from T-mobile). I havent had any issues with either of them. Only issue is T-Mobile related; whilst my unbranded CPW model has since seen 3 system updates, T-mobile have only pushed out one! Regardless, I will always use HTC, havent had any problems with them so far. I like their designs, I like the Sense interface and I like Android. No reason to change.
ONE X is by far the best handset experience ive ever had. (Ive had many, being a previous CPW emplyee myself)

Htcrpap, 29 May 2012Never again will I own and htc.Poor quality goods and usele... moreYou cannot say that htc build crap phones for a start that is called trolling a company. i work for cpw and find that we have more smsung phones back in than any model of htc. the one series by htc is a really really good well made design with great processing power and a amaizing camera. you should give it a go before slagging the device/company off because you have had a bad experiance.

I own an HTC One X, and I can tell you it is the best piece of technology I have ever possessed. The strength of the device lies more in its software than the hardware. The galaxy S3's HW might be a tad bit better, but the differences would simply be unnoticable. While the software differences are all too apparent and cant be ignored, as they make a perceptible difference on the overall user experience. So far I have not had any issues absolutely whatever with my One X, and its much better than what I ever thought it would be. Only gripe is about the battery life: a better battery is always useful.

I have had 3 updates and no problems whatsoever! To all those whining, please grow up as most phones have software issues. Remember antenna gate? Teething problems of SGS2? Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee!

I installed the update that it tried to push out, and now it crashes when I go to change ringtones, watch videos, play games, film video, listen to music... BUT when I plug my headphones in, it all works fine. Unplug them, it crashes again.
Have tried factory reset, and been on the phone to HTC who say they can't do anything about it and don't even know if there will be a software fix.
Regretting spending so much money on this handset now. Their support is BS
