ICS updates finally hit I9100 and I9100G Galaxy S II in India

All I did was use a different PC!!!
I read on the net and also asked a couple of friends who said that some minor drivers may be missing on your PC. So they advised me to un-install KIES, re-install it and then try upgrading OR use a different PC altogether. The first option did not work for me but the second one did.
Try using a different PC. I am sure it'll work.

Its definitely a great upgrade. I am not facing any RAM issues what-so-ever and the phone feels faster now. There are a lot of minor improvements as well.
Although there are no great advantages but there are definitely no dis-advantages in the upgrade.

india has been upgrade will countries in the middle east has not yet seen a ics software in their sg2 which privies that samsung has no respect whats so ever for its customer and if there was a ics for sg2 then why take 4 months and release sg3 without release the sg2 ics which only means samsungs for the money and not for the customer. which is sad and true because samsung just lost one of its lyal customers i will be going for a manufacture that doesnt descriminate between western, asian and middle eastern countries which samsung does best in when it comes to descriminating bettween countries right samsung.

I have samsung I9100G SII. Havent got any updates till date. These are all fake comments. Five of my friends who have SII are facing the same problem. Please stop spamming and misguiding others. This is a serious platform. Thanks.

all you guys crying over missing ram..you dont even know how android functions. it uses ram.the more it uses the faster it operates. when you open another app, it realocates ram from the previous apps. if you have free ram then that means it's not beying used properly. it's not like windows xp or windows vista or 7 where ram thats free is a good sign, it's the opposite. its better if it's used at all times. go read up on it before making a fool of yourself.

I got ics on april last week and i have no issues with my s2....i just love this phone...after the update i can browse through chrome..its good...and there is no reduction in ram memory...its still 831 mb as old....nw its more amazing....loving it

I just updated my sgs2 its ics 4.0.3, the face unlock is cool.. but now the ram uses a bit more than gingerbread, look new.. like i just brought my sgs2.. im in singapore.

i upgraded to ics 4.0.3
but there is no settings shortcut in taskbar.
performance is slightly good.
