      Much easier to just click the buttons than doing swipe left/right/up/down/pinch
      That is why I chose ipad with home button.
      I would never buy Pro model.

        Hello Life, 13 May 2020They should just ditch the xperia lineup.. and create a ent... moreWhy ditch it? It's not xperia. It's Sony.
        They waited too many years to fix their practically self cracking screens which would in turn kill the touch with the smallest of cracks. That and their sudden death motherboards issues.
        And their severe lacking in specs and cameras.

        And by time they did they were long forgotten and still charging too much.
        Then they turned around and took out the headphone jack while still supposedly being known to be "ahead" in audio.

        But even when they did finally take of that and try to make a come back they are still making the same one mistakes on one of their worst shortcomings.
        They hardly advertise and they are not releasing their devices to many carriers. They just expect people to know about their devices and choose to go online and pay outright full price instead of walking into a carrier store and getting an installment.
        And it's been failing for years and they just don't learn.
        Even despite all their other issues if they had proper advertising and releases they would still have more sales. Let alone fixing the other issues as well.

          it seems that they don't care about their mobile division their smartphones are expensive and lack of marketing a lot of people thought sony died long time ago

                The number doesn't seem to add up:
                Number of Sony smartphones shipped per Quarter of Fiscal 2019-2020:
                - Q1 (April-June, 2019): 600000;
                - Q2 (July-Sept, 2019): 500000;
                - Q3 (Oct-Dec, 2019): 1.3 millions;
                - Q4 (Jan-March, 2020): 400000.
                Total: 2.8 Millions, not 3.2 millions as reported here.

                  They should just ditch the xperia lineup.. and create a entirely new lineup with new manufacturing bases in India or China to keep the prices low.

                      I bought a Xperia XA II in 2017, then in 2018 the phone started to fail the touch on the edges, of the screen and a couple of months later the phone did not response anymore. The warranty service was the worst ...For that reason I decided never buy a Sony smartphone again.

                        The brand that is so out of touch with reality that they introduce features no one wants like a 4K screen and 21:9 aspect ratio but lose things they were once known for like camera, design and audio. Not to mention keeping their love affair with bezels and high prices. You were my first and favorite android phone and you could have stayed that way but you decided to have morons work in every aspect of your smartphone division.

                          They midrange got no chance against similarly priced minote10, realme x2pro, vivo nex3, k30pro,... Though their 12mp and 2x zoom on flagship is better than ever, against 50/108mp sensors and 5-10x zoom and way more features its garbage.
                          They did it themselves.

                            Their cameras on flagships never were enough good until recently and eve today can't reach competitors despite their sensors being one of the best. The software is part of the equation.

                            On the other hand with overpriced mid-rangers below competitors offering better hardware for the same prices is like HMD-Nokia. A sinking ships, as today, mid-rangers are the most sold phones with flagships only purchased by a minority. Times and things change or you adapt yourself to the new reality or you flop. LG is another example, you can't expect sell overpriced mid-rangers with high competition in the scene.

                            People today buy reading the specifications they pay for as inside Android the software expericence is very similar between brands so you want the best hardware you can buy at X price. That is the reason why some corporations have several brands. The alleged premium ones sell a lot lets but as the money goes to the same hands... it doesn't matter. But the reality is that they sell more with the cheaper ones and even with lower marging profit the quantity also matters.

                            With a single premium brand you can't compete in Android world. Only Samsung is an exception due to have protection on certain markets banned for competitors. And Apple is there due to is own ecosystem and also with their country protecting them too with some privileges. The rest of big brothers have a clear strategy to compete and survive. BBK (Oppo/OnePlus/Vivo), Huawei/Honor, Xiaomi/Redmi/Pocophone, Lenovo/Motorola, even ZTE/Nubia at time.
