    Poco doesn't even have ads.
Besides those ads on budget phone can be removed in 2 min.

All they needed was rebrand the Zoom Edition (Telephoto + OIS) instead of the plain K30 pro, and it would be a pretty decent deal (compared to the Mi 9T it replaces). As it is, Xiaomi needs to be put back in its place -- no buy.

5G is the biggest con tech to come out recently; hardly any country has it, if you want it you have to install new hardware towers all over the country increasing the costs to customers, it sucks battery like mad, millimetre wave is the most useless, laughable range ever (rain can block the signal) and non mmwave 5g is god damn LTE-A speeds so whats the point

Unlike k30 that has 120Hz refresh rate, this k30 pro seem to look like a downgrade.. I know it will take time to develop 5g especially for developing countries hence take it out instead. Prefer a plastic back for more durability, we don't need the premium looking glass that breaks, besides it has no wireless charging so it doesn't have purpose, we will gonna cover it on a case anyway.

Smauriaii, 17 May 2020Everyone just wants a flagship killer with the snapdragon 8... moreOne of the rare commenters that know the stuff. Qualcomm's the one pulling the strings on their flagship SoC, which is paired with their 5g modem. It's either Qualcomm's way or the highway. So stop blaming the phone makers.

Hanif Fikri, 17 May 2020Overpriced. Should cost under 400$ and build: -SD855(Just ... moreYeap.. just take out 5g n no need popup camera.. make it simple just use redmi note9 n upgrade it..poco got today results all because of the f1 which make things possible.. more on performance.

Controversial comment, but for the hardware, this seems to be a great deal.

To chop off features and hypothesize the price drop is an exercise in futility. Why do we need to do that? QC has made 5G modem mandatory alongside SD865, so QC is to blame here IMHO.

That said, I am personally sick of MiUi. Poco does not have ads, but I hope it is better optimized. I have Redmi K20 with SD730, but Moto One Power with SD636 feels faster in day to day use.

This phone is very good indeed. No pop up selfie cameras this year. Oneplus is a big downgrade. After Mi 9T Pro this is a good upgrade.

5G is very much not needed right now. Many markets don't have it, so why pay extra for something you aren't using

5G networks are worthless at the moment high cost limited coverage 5G isn’t going to be all that great anytime soon. 5G will disappoint everyone 5G also won’t be widespread very soon. For the next decade at least, actual 5G connectivity will be very rare indeed. You don’t need to buy a 5G phone, and probably won’t for a few years

Everyone just wants a flagship killer with the snapdragon 865 and without 5g, that's not even possible anymore, qualcomm is forcing those who buy the snapdragon 865 to buy the 5g modem too, so don't expect a cheap phone with that processor. Yeah they can decide to make it cheap but would you be okay with one 5mp camera, platic body, ips 60hz, 720p and fingerprint scanner on the back?

Phone manufacturers are smart. They know that average people are not smart enough to think about "It can do much more than the previous model, so we have to double the price".
Imagine how much would today cost a PC, using the same logic. It can do MUCH more than a couple of years ago. Or how much would a car cost, using the same logic. Or how much ...
But never mind. Keep paying for a fake bokeh and a 50 mm "telephoto" camera. You will pay even more next year for some new useless trendy feature.

Great respect for GSM admins.. Before I thought you guys are with too much complex and unusual regulations. But visiting in other forums, I think you guys have the most space for members than other forums..
