            What is Sony thinking? Seriously!
            They announced phones months ago, and then release the phone months later, and they do this 6 months period for each phone they release.

            How is every other OEM able to announce their phone and then have it for sell within week or month. But don’t never able to do so.

              If the main camera manages to perform well (especially in video), this phone is going to be one of the best of the year. Although I wish the display had a high refresh rate (for future proofing especially) instead of 4K, but it's just a personal preference.

                Above are just a few of the many compromises.
                They'd be lucky to sell over 100k units.
                They only managed to ship 450k smartphones in the entire Q1.
                Sony is in the same boat as HTC.

                        Hmm, expensive. Hope i can find a new package with dropped price in 2023. After this phone was announced, every other phone looked poor and ugly.

                                hayashi, 19 May 2020Finally, what took Sony so long?1) factories start making the flagships only after they are announced. To avoid leaks of specs on internet. Only the design was known before the event, if you do not count 4K screen (an obvious feature).

                                2) Photo Pro was not ready, at first they planned to ship without it and give as update. But they changed their minds. Phones were going to be for sale in the last week of April in Japan.

                                  Finally, what took Sony so long?

                                    I completely agree... I really hope this phone does sell well. Sony have made a cracker of a phone here. It is amazing. 4k screen oled. Wow. That is top stuff. They deserve to sell well. Nice to have a change from Chinese handsets too. I am pretty sure Sony will sell plenty of these devices. I would be surprised if not... I mean 4k oled screens... That is Epic.

                                        Wish Sony had planned things properly, what was the point of announcing this phone early only to release it many months later? Also according to a japanese website (that had this news weeks ago..), it sadly has disappointing battery life.. that's too bad because it's otherwise a no compromise phone
