Android Master, 27 May 2020Why would you import Sony for 90k and above or buy overpric... moresome people care about data security. OnePlus is a Chinese brand and any Chinese brand must give the user data to Chinese Government in case they want. so there is always a RISK.
Sony, apple or Samsung is free of this. I am not claiming they are saint but this rule brings additional risk not everyone you would find interested in taking,

Anonymous, 27 May 2020Just keep it on your headphones. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Stone people have more than one headphone and others want to listen and charge the phone at the same time in a better quality.

Anonymous, 27 May 2020Again, why do you need a 3.5mm headphone jack on the phone ... more"Again, why do you need a 3.5mm headphone jack on the phone to use wired headphones?"
So I can flaunt how crispier and latency free the sounds coming out from my headphones than wireless and while I'm at it, I can use the charging port to charge my phone. What these new flagships lack is the ability to charge and listen at the same time; Two wired separate ports and no dongles involved.
The thing is that I'm not complaining about wires at all and I'm not forced by my will to use wireless headphones. It's just that companies like Samsung are forcing customers like me to ditch my wired headphones and go for the more expensive wireless which still has problems that mattered to me. I refuse to use dongles too. That's why I skipped Apple and Samsung altogether because I just don't want to spend more money and my headphones are still in good condition.

Wireless isn't about tangling wires (although that is one benefit), it's about being wire free from your phone. Not having to have a wire go from your head to your pocket/desk/wherever. There is obviously some benefit in that.
But you are not forced to use wireless headphones with these phones, so why are you still complaining about it?

Shanti Dope, 27 May 2020What does codec have to do with bit rate?
AFAIK, the new c... moreH264 has higher bitrate than H265.
That is why files are bigger.
Cinema Pro only uses H265.
Phones do not same other codecs beside H264/H265 for videos, unlike cameras that each has own codecs.

Honestly though, Sony did the right thing by skipping out on 8K video, because apart from the lack of proper use case and a screen to display it in native resolution, recording 4K 60fps videos in 90Mbps means that if the phone will record in 8K 30fps, the minimum bit rate they could use is 100Mbps, and I think it's far too much for the SD865 to handle. Plus, it essentially disables all the necessary features for the camera, such as Eye AF, SteadyShot EIS, rack focus, etc.
4K 60fps in 90Mbps will be far better in quality than 8K 30fps in 80Mbps.

You know, it surel... moreWhat does codec have to do with bit rate?
AFAIK, the new codec is just for better containment of the file, which is more space-efficient compared to the older one.
Be it the old or the new one, the bit rate would remain the same at 90Mbps, as it is the default capability of the phone.

Anonymous, 27 May 2020Looks like Samsung no longer gives 4KHDR. I think they still do, however they don't hype it as much, if at all, most probably because it's not as good as LG's or Sony's.

No-curved-body is sony's identity.
Hope Sony doing well this time.

Anonymous, 27 May 2020It's a custom modification of the sensor that is RGB and no... more"but at least it's real optical magnification"
It's actually the opposite. Due to the exif focal length of only 6.95mm, Sony crops the sensor and you should only get 9 megapixels at 70mm, so Sony's specs are likely wrong.

TheGoldenMellifluous, 27 May 2020I think some people lost trust on DXOMark due to Nokia 808 ... moreMostly, people who have no clue think that Dxomark reviews are important. Otherwise they would be able to form their own opinion based on multiple(!) reviews and full resolution sample images. People who have no clue like to see a simple number/score. They would know that this is meaningless if they had a clue.
