Anders, 22 May 2020Sony have killed yet another phone. Announced it ages ago b... moreBecause companies price their products according to the money they spent to make them and amount they expect to profit on.
Not based on what other brands are charging.

Otherwise, none could ask same price of Samsung because they sell more than all other.

Nike and Adidas sell much more than Puma and UnderArmour. But these two have products as good as the other. Should they charge less because they sell less?

Sony have killed yet another phone. Announced it ages ago but it's still barely available anywhere and in the meantime there's several cheaper 5G phones launched with more 5G band support and as usual its way way too expensive. If no one is buying your phones why would you think you can charge the same as Samsung..??

It always shows up at IFA.

Unless there is WH-1000XM4 as a preorder bonus, I see no reasong to even consider pre-order.

              Sales in Japan started today.

This is an old problem with Sony phones. They are too slow to release their phones.

If it is $1200 in Japan, of course it will be cheaper in USA.
Difference in previous years was more than $150.
