burn in wasnt that big of a deal and wasnt that widespread. Isheep blowed it out of proportion so they could act LCD was superior.
Facts are at the end of the day Apples more expensive premium devices used AMOLED. The cheaper devices aka Iphone XR use LCD.
if you paying that much for a device you want the better superior tech not inferior.

Unless you think they'd split 12% of orders into 6 low quantity orders to /minimize/ the economics of scale..?!

Their major issue is longevity and colour shift due to uneven subpixel decay. In 2 years of use my Galaxy S7 had visible burn in of the status bar and android buttons. I have never had an LCD display visibly degrade in 2, 3, even 4 times as long.

Amoled > LCD
They are thinner displays, better for battery life especially black areas of the displays, more flexible than LCD displays so they better for foldable phones.

The Plus or Ultra models will use the Samsung made displays because they are superior, cost more to manufacture hence why they will be in the expensive models.

RIP ALL THE LG HATER, 27 May 2020LG p-oled is the best screen panel over the amoled & boeAnd that’s why Apple didn’t use it on there iPhone due to the quality issue. The problem with Plastic OLED of LG that it does get burn in so fast even LG OLED TVs most expensive LG’s tv gets burn in.

even european youtube reviewers (e.g. mrwhostheboss etc) are being sent the Snapdragon versions of Galaxy for initial reviews and hype build up for the EU consumers, which then go to the stores with certain expectations, and unknowingly buy a product so inferior, it's straight up criminal activity by Samsung.
this is a class action lawsuit material which I hope will be realized at some point.

So, how do we know which models screens are supplied by which company? Because Samsung or LG are good not sure about BOE. And Im sure as hell won't get one unless I know for sure it's a Samsung made or LG

I tried to tell many readers here that the BOE article, from late 2019,that stated that a major contract with Apple and BOE was a farce.
It just did not make any sense, especially with the ongoing trade war, and Apple would be downgrading its quality of displays by sourcing majority of its displays from a company that also got caught stealing Sammy's patents.
Sammy and Apple do have their dramatic history together, but sometimes, it is best to DEAL with the ENEMY that you know!
