Apple is using LG panel for only one model out of the 4 models to be launched this year.
That is also a 60hz panel.
The rest of the variants including the ones with higher refresh rate are all from Samsung.

no reason for a for-profit corporation to ever do that.
they'll just make sure to send the sammy oled version phones to the youtube reviewers.

They have different areas which specialises in Apple only displays.
I remember reading it in mac rumours in 2018.

A... moreApple BOE panels will be built to the same standard or even better than Samsung Panels, when you are supplying Apple, Apple expects the absolute best from you, other wise you don't get the contract.
It's not because Samsung is a costly panel, Apple sometimes choose alternate supplier to create an alternative if needed, or to avoid a company monopolizing it's supply chain.
They pumped lots of Money into LG to make new gen OLED Display plant and also into BOE to help them start making high quality panels.

Apple will use inferior Boe and LG panels on the budget model because Samsung won't sell them panels at discount rates.
