Naturally, the lower end of this price range is more popular, but 2020 saw some excellent releases in the $400-$600 range.

I suppose you know that One+ and OPPO VIVO REALME are all siblings ( parent company IS BBK).
what differentiates One+ from other siblings? If design and dimensions are the only criteria then you should be aware that all BBK products have more or less same design and sizes.

If you have an answer to what is asked , you will stop blaming iphone SE for recycling the design and will stat appreciating the product.

Look you can still get phones for 400$ however they wont have all of the flagship features you desire. Oneplus has grownup and maybe it's time for you as well.

'that's what make iPhones attractive' - yep, half the features for the same price 👍. They support their older phones - yep by reducing cpu output to 'extend battery life' without users' permission. $400 for the new SE that reviewers are telling people not to bother with, the recommendation being if you want a cheaper iPhone, buy an older 7 or 8. Companies like Xiaomi are doing so well because they give you more for less. Even Motorola's G series is still a big midrange seller.

Spending anything above $400 mark is foolish thing to be honest. One Plus 3T was best phone at that time for its price. One Plus should launch same types of phones with one year of constant bug fixing updates and decent camera with metal body between $300 and $400 mark. I would love to see that type optimized Oxygen OS in this price range. Prices are $1000 and still no great camera and everything else is buggy too. One Plus has lost its way. They should have launched only one good product below $500 mark. They have lost their target audience to be honest.

Thus being said, the iphone SE 2020 is not targeted at people with your kind of phones. Is targeted at a totally different crowd, and Apple knows this all to well.

Apple doesn't necessarily needs a person with a S20 or even a S10 to magically sell their phones and buy the new iphone SE 2020. People need to understand this. Apple is targeting other crowds. Now, if some person with this kind of Android phones will do that, it is just peanuts money for Apple. Is good that is happening, but no one from Apple cares about those people.

Due to Corona pandrmic, I doubt smartphones will have innovations for two three years. Punch hole and teardrop will continue to be there. Double punch hole looks ugly to be honest. 50Watt charging is quiet fast. Designs are quiet good in my opinion. Except for curved displays, everything should be fine. Flat display is way to go.

Im not gonna spend money on a recycled design from 2014 with a 4.7 inch lcd display. I'm happy with my main phone which is a OnePlus 7t pro. I'm not even going to consider an iphone until they decide to ditch the ugly notch design forever.

Anonymous, 31 May 2020"Apple hit the bullseye with the iPhone SE (2020), which is... moreThe iphone SE 2020 is not targeted at those people. Is targeted at those millions, and I am talking millions of people, who have now an iphone 5s, first generation iphone SE, 6, 6s, 7, and 8.
And maybe a small percentage of those people who are bored or upset with Android (from various reasons) and want to try something different, but don't want to spend 700-1000EUR on their first iphone.

Apple indirectly did some good things for Android customers too, when releasing this 400EUR iphone. Imagine from now on, any Android mid-range device will be more expensive than 400EUR, people will start complain about it. The first things people are looking in a mid-range phone are price and performance. Only after the price and performance boxes are checked, then people start looking on other things in the phone. I am almost certain that in the next 1-2 years Android manufacturers will not cross this 400EUR mark, when releasing powerful mid-range phones. At least if they want to stay competitive and sell that phone.

One thing is for sure, Apple did it again. Like the removing of the headphone jack or the notch displays, the market will indirectly follow this trend.

Anonymous, 31 May 2020"Apple hit the bullseye with the iPhone SE (2020), which is... moreThe SE 2 isn’t for Android users with phlabets. Apple didn’t make this phone for that segment of the market.

The SE 2 is for my wife and I as an upgrade to our 3-year old SEs.

iPhone SE 2020 is 400$ only in USA. In Europe is 550$, or about 500€. For that price it's not good deal.

In conclusion:IPhone SE is for people who comfortable with IOS ecosystem and people who use older IPhone and want to upgrade to a newer "affordable" IPhone.

In Android world there are so many options that one phone doesn't end up with huge numbers.
But overall marketshare proves that Android phones is what general ppl prefer irrespective of price segment.

Yes, the most voted range is 200-400 dollars. But in that range the majority will buy phones with displays bigger than 4.7", big batteries and modern design. Hopefully for them Android have all that available at good prices and still plenty of hadware features.

We are getting old and, those who offer bigger displays and more complete phones at reasonable prices, they will still dominate together the market in term of global sales as today. And probably even more these and upcoming years with the economic recession.
