Like I said in the original poll/article, living in the US doesn't give us much options at that range. Sure, Ulefone and Umidigi have phones in that range that work here but those phones are always missing...something.

The Armor 3W was so close. Just needs a headphone jack, 128GB of space, P90 at least or Dimmensity 820, 6.2" display, and Wireless/reverse wireless charging.

Really wish more of the Realme, Redmi, and Mi Note phones would work out here...

Obviously one is an outdated design not optimized with today components and the other one a nice phone with a good design and all space profited. And the funniest thing is that both cost the same in Europe. I choose the S10e any day if I want a phone of that size. With luck more will be released although it'll depend of the sales and demand.

Apple is another history because they don't have affordable alternatives and must do for refurbished or old phones or designs. For buy something like the SE 2020 I for sure jump to the Android alternatives.

Night and day at the same size. The button are in the screen so the functionality don't change, you have a larger display, more cameras, better profited space, bigger battery...

Are you trying to sell us an outdated phone? And sure that the S10e will not be the last one in Android. In the future even with under display cameras at that size and good specifications. Not a phone from the stone age at the price of a new modern one.

I am no fan of Apple, but I wish Android had an SE 2020 equivalent. For me, 4.7 inches, 16:9 is perfect. I have spent three years with a 4.5-inch phone and another 3 years with a 5-inch phone (at present). In fact, I find the 5-inch phone a tad larger than I like. But considering, the other options, I'd hold on my 5er with my life. This is not about having small or large hands. It's about comfort, ergonomics, one-handed usability, ability to fit comfortably in a pocket and that biggest point that makes a mobile phone, mobile -- mobility. And if there's an Android (preferably non-stock) phone with a 4.7-inch 16:9 screen and thick bezels with an FPS and navigation buttons on those bezels, I will gladly pay upto $800 to buy it. Ultimately, the size of the phone shouldn't matter as much as the size of the operable area. It'd make no difference to me if a phone has a 4.7 inch screen with no bezels or a 4.7 inch screen with thick bezels. What matters is my thumb should comfortably hit all four corners of the screen while my palm is comfortably -- note comfortably -- wrapped around the rest of the phone.

For this price , better go with last year flagships like p30 pro or s10+ in my opinion

I wonder if people haven't read whatever the reviews about how bad & how great whatever the phones are & especially the performance....they would still buy whatever they actually liked without being influenced...it's like a war I swear, a typical human thing ? Just buy whatever you actually want

Anonymous, 31 May 2020Xiaomi goes so far to track all usage habits, they even mon... moreWhen you accept the terms of Apple and Google you are also agree to share them. If you don't accept then their services simply don't work in your phone. So for what you want their ecosystem if you don't want to share your data? Xiaomi phones, at least global ones, ask you before each of their own app use. If you choose NO! Then only works in a limited way but never send nothing. Today you even have to agree to send your location for the day weather widget or app.

I already have tested it in both system iOS and Android. Once you start to cut access permissions to their applications, they start to not work or with limited features, also with background services, you immediately discover it. Why you believe that a lot of their services are in background without your knowledge after accept the initial long history agreement that they know well almost nobody read? Apple also do that but try to hide it a lot more profiting that their system is propietary and locked to the customers.

At least, in Android you can deny them in the initial setup with separate agreements for every app and not merge all together in one like other OS. And then if needed, root and block whatever thing you want. Obviously with rootable and unlockable phones. Which are a lot in Android and new ones every year. Not like others that have all locked so you can't watch what they share and spy from you. Apple want that you believe in their words like in the iBible.

In Android you can discover things. Apple lock all and prefer blind customers.

Also, I don't understand why you say Xiaomi is using our own data, probably illegally. Did you have a Xiaomi phone and have any similar problems? Did you have compromising data stolen from you or something? Or are you just copy paste some misleading information from internet?

In the Android world no one gives a crap about software upgrades since Android pretty much runs without any support for very very long. Only thing is you can’t resell later with obsolete software which they don’t mind for a $400 device!!! $400 android devices will run without major software issues for minimum three years! You don’t need to buy 4.7 LCD to prove that you are iPhone buff

In this price range the most popular phone is the Samsung A50/A50s/A51. Heck, this phone is extremely slow and comes with a plastic back, it's a shame because the display is nice.

I personally would pick the Mi Note 10 if the OS was more reliable and its browser not selling data to Chinese servers. Its camera setup is fantastic for the price point.
