did IDC input any of the "new/might/awesome" innovation which ios and android might release on their phone which can alter the out come???? the company sure didnt do any statistic research.

Their prediction is as good as the year 2000 was end of the world. It's either right or wrong lol. Ask them what's the reason for their prediction, they probably can't tell you shit :P

In my view. . . . Symbian os has best multi tasking. . Know d fact. . . Jst 4 exp; galaxy y has 290 mb of ram and 832 mhz cpu. . . . We all fools think dat samsung s very great to give such device in very low price. . . . But fact s droid cannot sum less dan dat requirements. . . . . We cant even imagine a droid running 434 mhz cpu and 128ram as in 5230

that prediction is seriously a joke android may be efficient put it shouldn't be resource hungry you can't keep on adding cores and memory bcoz at the end it's a phone anyway nowadays even desktops and laptops are overtaken by smartphone..... the next generation would surely depend mainly upon smartphone os and wp 7 wouldn't be 2016 as given it would someother from Microsoft for mobiles and new os like tizen boot to gecko and growing chrome os may bring more

The fact y android has become so popular s dat every maker adopted it. . . . Unlike other oses. . Droids are very cheap to manufacture and doesnt need much cost. . . . While wp or symbian are costlier. . As all makers other dan apple, bb, nokia hav adopted it, developers made more apps and games 4 dat. . . And it stood behind ios

Guys that dont know, the cofounder of apple use wp and loves it, and its a lumia. WP is a great os, plus with nokia on its side its gonna be a BOOM, and wait for wp8 with multicore cpus and we will see if ios can beat it

We cannot say dat wp s incapable of beating android or ios in future. . . Coz nobody knows future. . May b wp can become as capable as ios and android. . . Who knows. . . Wp8 supports multi cores, as given by sources and many other new features. . . .

This is just plain stupid. I'm not saying WP sucks but it will overtake iOS & Android? Nah! Never gonna happen.
WP may be a cool OS but it won't overtake the two leading OS out there. IDC made some wrong predictions last year and this is no exception. Keep dreaming.

Some people are extremely BLIND and ignorant. Windows phone will NOT overtake android. Android is estimated to have 52% share while windows phone 19.2% AND iOS 19%. Learn to read the article. Windows will be over iOS but will have less than 50% of Android's market share. How can people be so blind?

Who did Microsoft pay to make that prediction !! What are they smoking....a fully customizable system , vs tiles, locked system, no external storage, have synch via zume, etc...hhhmmmmm !!! They would have to make some major changes for their prediction to come true.
