With two champions of the legacy created by themselves - Nokia and Microsoft, I think 2016 is a bit too far. We will start observing the waves of huge change in somewhat mid 2014.

Can't wait to see WP kicks stupid Android Azz, defective OS witthout rooting or installing custom ROM is useless a phone life is 1 year only then Ur phone will be history and I'm sure Google will add restrictions to Android because Android security is a JOKE any defective developer can upload stupid useless app without control by them... So Android users prepare Urself to leave this OS

the only way these prediction will be true is if the competing OS are banned by the court's. even then I believe user will choose to use old models ... with an OS that fills ones needs

wrong the majority of people don't give a sh8it about the os, they mostly want apps nowadays and of corse the manufacturers really matters, they mostly buy products from who they trust or the one with the best reputation, and that's why samsung and apple are n01 not because of neither android nor iOS

Unless Google come out with powerful OS for Desktop & notebook which can integrated very well with Android, or else WP will increase % as Microsoft still the major market share, & WP have chance to work better with Windows since same company.
As for iOS, they should have same advantage since they have Mac. However, since they taking the same move as what Mac did, they will face the downturn history which Mac faced b4

lol...who can believe that, windows phone is a crap, everybody know that. I can say that in 2016 windows phone will be dead and the all world will be ruled by the best os, Android, this is happening from this very moment...windows pc itself is in risk, because everyday pc and smarthones are almost the same, in few years will be same os for both, and google is everywhere...just take a look how android is going higher and higher every month, and soon it will be in pc markets too...

Well it looks like some people get paid for plucking number out the air lol saying that tho I have owned an iPhone witch was great but didnt have the customizations that I like and seemed to be a birds phone, im currently on Android again great but I do have to really watch what I donwload app wise due to some permission and scams I hear about. My contact is up for renewal and i've really been checking out all the OS's and phone out there and the WP is seeming more and more like a good option I really like the tiles idear. So who knows they might not be that far off or more than likely way off lol

Same thing we heard about in 2012 WP will takeover, And it was the complete the opposite, WP market share is less than 3% even BADA is more than that.
I have one question how much did Microsoft paid for those mercenaries in IDC to make up with this futile lie "to be called analytic"?
Android is still winning and these are true statistics not some paid lies from those mercenaries at"IDC"

Actually i think Microsoft in 2016 will lose a huge market share in PC OS and that is a fact, I know plenty of friends are moved either to MAC or Linux, Ubuntu. So it's just a matter of time till Microsoft losses both PCs and Phones market share by Google Chrome OS/Android OS.
