PS5 is 600 dollars and 50 dollars for ps plus for 6 years is 300 dollars so thats 900. That means 2240 left for games.
Still cheaper ;)

That's steep considering that it's supposed to play (Audio and Visual) Real Time Raytracing games at 60fps. It would've been worth it if Sony includes PS1 to PS3 backwards compatibility by adding certain microprocessors in the new console's motherboard.
I'm okay with using PC because these exclusives mean nothing to me anyway; I can live without it.

And on top of that always calculate an external ssd.. that built in drive will be filled almost immediately.

But it's hard to compare - if you like to play games then playstation is for you. And you will still need phone for communications!

Why is everyone comparing the price to a phone... Totally different market, like complaining Bananas are more expensive than apples.
Consoles are sold with lower profit margin and made back with long term commitment of the games and subscriptions.

The ps5 can't hold the cpu and gpu at max frequencies at the same time and that's before even thermal throttle kicks in. So the number you see on TF on the ps5 is not a real world one.
The ssd is faster but xbox used a better compression algorithm which bridges the gap call bcpack. In terms of audio, xbox also has its own sound engine and they are working with some companies to make audio devices specifically for it.

As long as that remains the "goal" developers aim for, I rather play games on my PC with a 144 Hz panel. Not sure if I buy one of these new consoles (PS5 or Xbox) when GTA 6 is released. I'm quite certain that a console would collect dust again most of the time, just like with PS3 and after completing GTA V.

No it wasnt where did you get that from. PS4 could match Xbox's resolution and sometimes surpass it. Some games on Xbox ran at 720p or 900p and Sony PS4 ran at same or higher resolutions.

Assassins Creed Black Flag was 900p on Xbox but full 1080p on PS4. There's many more in that link.
And if you do a quick google search you find this

So yeah PS3 was more powerful sold better

PS3 was better in performance than Xbox 360, but was worst in the long run. Also Xbox 360 sold better.
Xbox One was better in performance than PS4, but worst in the long run. Also PS4 sold better.
These differences showed us how much important is the price. PS3 was more powerful but also more expensive at launch. The same scenario with Xbox One.
