Much better deal is note 9s, which have 4/64gb, sd 720g, gorila glas 5 body, and everything that for 180€. Also note 8 pro 6/64 gb is 190€.

It's just a shift in market segmentation. The true entry level segment will still have the Redmi 'A' and Go series. But now that there is little differentiation between the Redmi and Redmi Note offerings, I won't be surprised if one will subsume the other.

Why are people complaining about FHD? Isn't it good that a budget phone offers a mid range feature and I think helio G80 is good enough for gaming at FHD (may not be the smoothest but I will be good) and remember you can always lower the screen resolution (on most phones)

Why are hating it guys if this has a FHD+ display? Is it not good that a company offers us some midrange specs in their budget phone? If my current phone breaks and I need an immediate replacement for the least money possible, this is it - Redmi 9, because my minimum requirements in buying a phone are: fastcharging (18W) and FHD+ display, and for the past years these specs were reserved for midrangers only, but now they come to budget ones.
When the midrange Mi A3 was released, a lot of people were complaining of its 720p screen. Now that Xiaomi gives us a 1080p in its budget phone, people are still complaining? What kind of world we live in?

Even Hot 9 pro far better than this in performance n in camera section. 720p display is not a big deal most people watch 240p 360p to save more data.

Xiaomi has a device at literally every price point. The price gap between a Redmi 9 and a Redmi Note 9 may seem close, but I believe these phones are not aimed at people who see it that way. This is for the markets where the a $20-30 difference is a big deal. I think the Redmi 9 will meet this need, I'd just prefer to see the base RAM at 4GB.

People who buy xiaomi phones sell their privacy for cheaper phones. When something is too cheap for the price, you should know that you are the product.

The starting price of Redmi 9 is too high.
Why? Because it uses Helio G80, which was 'overclocked' version of Helio G70, so it would offer similar performance overall.
As Realme C3 starting price was cheaper (especially now, as it was launched 4months ago), why bother paying more for subtle difference (FHD vs HD & 2 'real' camera vs 1 'real' camera)?
FYI, FHD display takes its toll on the graphic's performance when gaming, so HD is actually preferable for this 'cheap/budget gaming' phones, while camera(s) in ANY budget phones is not reliable for 'serious' photography (as they mostly used Omnivision or cheap Samsung sensors with small aperture).
Therefore, like the author said, for a bit more money, u should just get the much better Note 9 series, or just get previous Note 8 pro if 'gaming' is your priority (yup, Redmi Note 8 other that "Pro" version use SD665, which was proven to have weaker GPU than SD660).
OR, just wait for Redmi 10x to launch globally. That device is a beast, as its SoC performance is on par with SD855 (similar 4cores A76), and its GPU should be several times better than G90T, let alone G80.

People love high number specs too much
Why put entry level phones at Full HD resolution?
720p LCD is almost equal to 1080p pentile oled anyways (880p)
With entry level phones it's just diminishing returns
More stress on the phones Weaker chipset
This could keep the price down and prevent overlap
And one last thing to consider price overlap is only relevant if availability of both phones are equal.
