Anonymous, 16 Jun 2012Nokia should offer Android ICS4 smartphone while retaining ... moreI dont think they even need to go that far. Simply port ICS onto the officialy N9 and it will sell like hotcakes. Even though they signed with Windows Phone they need to swallow some pride and think about survival. And Stephen Elop MUST GO!

          Nokia should improve :

          1 - Screen resolution - you're decades behind
2 - Symbian is ancient, no value at all.
3 - Untie Windows as your OS and get Android.
4 - Create more creative hardware.
5 - Improve phones design - current designs not attractive at all.
6 - Hire somebody with brain...

          Thank you.

Though I am using samsung eversince I migrated to smartphone, I still do have a soft side for Nokia when it come to buying a new phone. Truly upset when they decide to team up with Microsoft instead of Google (damn the joker who decide this)... I would have gone back to NOKIA smartphones if it was running on android OS. I believe there are many NOKIA-NATICS out there who would agree with what I have said.

To the CEO's of NOKIA who happen to read this - please consider the facts, ANDROID is bigger that Windows Phone. Wake up and act upon it to save your asses. Many would want you guys to be back on TOP again. DO SOMETHING wise today before it is to late.

Real, 15 Jun 2012I think a more accurate description of the situation is Nok... moreYou do realise that was 3 years ago... an iPhone REALLY competes with a One X or S3, lol. Why would joining Android with its 60% market share be a worse move than copying Apple with its 20% share?

My wife and I had used Nokia for some 20 odd years. My sons had Nokia phones since they started school, until 3 years ago when they decided that nokia sucked, and switched to HTC. I bought the Lumia with the Windows OS, and regretted it on the second day. What lunacy and stupidity! Who in the right mind can live with Windows on a mobile phone? If Nokia had Android, things would have taken a turn for the better. We have always liked Nokia for the solid hardware, though we can't say the same for the phone designs. Some Nokia models looked awful. Now, Nokia has awful phones and an equally awful OS. Good riddance.

Never trust Nokia again. They don't pay attention to the life of 10000+ employees.Which means we do not need to care for Nokia. We just have to trash their products and take a pledge to not buy any of their toys.We must teach them that they should not play with the life's of employees.

look like NOKIA is egoistic. THey should not forget that they are businessmen and first policy is to making money keeping aside all egos. What happens if they have two types of smart phones with both Android and Windows. If windows loses money still Android can earn money for them. EGO EGO EGO.

Sad for these employees, but there is some who must be arrested and put in prison his ceo and his board. CEO never acts to defend Nokia's interest, only msft interest.

Nokia should offer Android ICS4 smartphone while retaining its windows phone. Then reverse engineering its already excellent Lumia by making the display bigger at least 4.3", equipped with carl zeiss camera lens and Bose internal speakers. I bet this phone will sell like hot cakes!

Nokia rightfully deserves this, they were smug and thought they are the best, and now they are going down. They are closing factories in europe and concentrating on the low end bit in china and india. This will mean worst quality in the long run and market distrust. I onw a premium E55 and it has been in and out of repairs shop, loosing my appointments and loosing my time. Now I want a smartphone with touch and guess what, the N9 and Lumia 800 have no SD-card, and I need one in case SOPA/ACTA and other stupid laws get voted, and there are other good sides to having one. Also, the SAR value is very high on Nokia phones, very low on samsung. My E55 kept restarting, the Lumia 800 is the same, acording to the guys from the Nokia repair shop. The Lumia 800 can't exchange files, and it goes on and on forever. They keep abandoning OS's, they focus on profit rather than quality and reliability and they are going to hit rock bottom if they do not wake up.

You (Nokia) were and still are too stubborn fighting a losing battle with Android O.S. curse you Nokia. I can only imagine how successful your android devices would have been. You would have needed more employees instead of less, curse you!!!!!!! With your great battery life and your durability a flagship device from you would certainly have challenged Samsung (the reigning champs). Curse you, You've disappointed the masses and lost the fans..Nokia Lumia 900 with android 4.0 ice scream sandwich and Nokia's personal touch. A sure winner, Curse you Nokia!!!!
