Why not put old Symbian software in newer asha phones? These phones have better specs than old Symbian still no multitasking.

i know MS hate linux but this meltemi is wayyyyy better than S40!!! give it a chance!!!!
dont tell me that you buy smarterphone for nothing....
even smarterphone is way better than S40! why dont you just let S40 be your touch and type and bar model feature phone, let smarterphone be your lowest end touch screen phone's OS, and let Meltemi be the low to budget OS to your phones!

NO just no!! this is stupid! meltemi is way better that S40!!! since it was rumored to be base on meego and linux!
elop will drag the company down! he is just proving that he is a MS dog! MS hate linux so that's just it! elop hate that idea! maybe mcdowell oppose to elop about the full force WP in all level thats why she got fired! poor her! im with her if thats the case!WP isnt ready to be nokia's OS in all level because of its restrictions etc! Meltemi and Meego is really the best shot here! S40 is not for touch screen phones! maybe for touch and type and bar phones! but this meltemi really sounds nice!!! nokia stop this flopping right now!! hope the nokia employee will have a full force attack to fire elop!!! i feel so stupid when i still support nokia but nokia dont listen to us supporters! this is really upsetting!

elop and microsoft kill all the linux based OS of nokia coz they are already threatened. If linux will rise on Nokia they are sure their windows based OS's will be dead and Microsoft will be closed and dead. Its all puzzled now. the great thing is nokia is killing itself and there are other oems like samsung, htc, lg, motorola and others that keep supporting linux...soon microsoft will be dead and will be replaced by Linux. Good bye Microsoft trying hard! by the way, I love my N9.

If have a 701 with the latest symabian belle. A fast and nice hard and software phone. With this Belle version it is better than my ipad. Even the so hyped app store of Apple is worse then the Nokia Store. The apple store has sure more apps, but much more nonsence and rubbish and more rubbish. With the Apple you need and outdated piece of software callled itunes to get your photos on the ipad. Not so with my nokia; simple bluetooth and browse what ever you want and a music played that autimatically find the new music. I hope there will come more Symbian phones.

I am sorry to see that Nokia's executives are trying to make the company go bankrupt. Still insisting on useless old Symbian and do not pay attention to innovative technologies. They are like a horse with glasses just looking on one direction.Focus on new OSs based on Linux kernel , go back and focus on android why you still have time to survive

I'm getting sick of Nokia! I'm giving my all out support but I think I'm just too dumb to realize that Nokia dont care! Elop fire the pioneers this week and now abandoning something that to look up to? This is insane! Elope is just showing that he is really an MS dog! Why? Because meltemi is Linux based and MS hate that!Meltemi has future because meego (where meltemi is probably base)is well accepted by the consumer because of its magnificent swipe UI! Maybe that's why those Nokia pioneer got fired because they are against elope's decisions! Nokia I'm really upset right now because of that damn CEO you got! Its really upsetting! You do not need to go android because meego is already good!

Nokia should use Windows as smartphone os and Symbian as feature phone os, we don't need s40, its worthless, their mgt should rethink...

what is this OS? i never heard of it. the new nokia management is continously making mistakes (but pureview is a nice one actually).
it is much better if they revived meego as their high range OS and lower the price of symbian phones and turn it as their budjet smart phones.

i dont think so they are killing meltemi. Indeed, they contribute more in linux rather then google in 2011. U guys can find out that what i think these tricks are to seek n hide it happens in tech world linux is being standard nokia didnt drop that might be symbian's next itrations. They r giving time to ms as per agreement

Nokia N9 is the best phone Nokia made.
Meego's UI manipulation is the most user friendly of all phones by far.
I think N9/Meego should be important for Nokia so much as iPhone is for Apple.
