Nokia is trying to get rid of its failures but the currents moves by nokia will even finish this company fast. Nokia really think that they can still rule the market.......thats why they are inventing new OS every 6 months and dod't want to switch andriod. Once I used to be nokia lover and I was till few months back. I have used all high end model of nokia. But 2 months back I buy 2 sim wifi enable samsung with andiriod OS. Beleive me now I will not even look back at Nokia after using andriod phone.

Why cant they just go for Android. Somebody slap them and tell them the reality. Change is good if u change for good. Symbian was Best ever but its more suited for lower end phones. And windows is best for computers and suck at mobile platform. why are they trying to eat with leg and walk with hand. there hardware was always good all they had to do was just go-in for right OS at present IOS and android is Best for mobile platform.

What Nokia should do it Make Nokia OS their OS for cheaper phones and Windows the flagship OS. Symbian already has a lot of apps and is well known to many users as it is, that's smarter than launching another OS from scratch. Yeah Symbian has a bit of a bad reputation, that that is for Symbian S60, Nokia OS(belle) is great and could run on phones with weak processors and little RAM like the N8 smoothly.

I have never seen or tried Meltemi. But I have tried Maemo, which was an earlier form of Meego. I must say I an still so puzzled as to why Nokia abandoned it. If they had supported Maemo I would have happily bought the N900. But Alas they abandoned, what I consider to be, the best OS out there.

All for the joys of Windows - which I really don't like. At the moment I am using android partly due to the OS but also due to the devices that are comming out on it.

Probably Meltemi would have been to good to letting it develop further! otherwise WP would have looked like shit next to it! and Elop can't let it happen!
His goal is to sell Nokia to Microsoft for a penny!

rynn, 15 Jun 2012Some Possible Reason Why People Leaving Nokia: 1. Nokia ... moreNokia premium brand? It baffles me. I worked at a 3 store back in 2004 and I met no customers considered Nokia as a "premium" brand, other than occasional id***ts from overseas.

I admittedly accept a fact that N80 is one of my favorite phones during my career.

THERE IS ONE FUNDAMENTAL PROBLEM WITH THE NOKIA STRATEGY:

CONSUMERs NEVER LIKED MICROSOFT OR HAD AN EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT TO THAT BRAND

Unlike Commodore, Atari, Google, Apple, Moto, Microsoft never emotionally convinced the Nerds, Geeks, Techies nor the humble tech. neutral public with any of their offerings. At best people felt it is working for their office and home needs and the alternatives where too expensive or to complicated to use.

Now NOKIAs role was to fix that emotional problem but unsurprisingly failed to deliver in that battle as NOKIA people are not business minded copy cats like Microsoft, NOKIANS are people that make things out of own ideas and believes. Probably you need to fire most of the existing Nokia employee base and restaff the company with other people to make it work.... for Microsoft.

elop is confused whats s40 a messed up os that cannot even multi task, use html or adobe flash. I think it was a huge error on the part of elop to shut down symbian os. He should check hw many of his s40 pple that didnt get a smartphone after the first 18 mnths. Also nokia should stop wasting high speed 1 ghz processor on phone that cant multitask . WP Lks lyk a future but it wont make it that far without a w8 tablet. And a better app ecosystem

Problem with Nokia is that they focus on too many projects at once. And trying for developing markets might be a good bet but world markets are not performing at a good rate now if euro and other major economies go down its obvious developing nations will be headed down as well.As for windows its too early to tell.My opinion is current Nokia phones have two problems they are too expensive and for that price they can't penetrate the market enough and the competition the obvious one.Even low cost mobile phone market is pretty competitive with Chinese and cheaper phones from other manufacturers. There's no easy fix for Nokia they might just have to work with Symbian underground and do with windows for now to improve it and develop their app market. After all windows use less hardware and more efficient than other OS's.They have phones that fit extreme ends of the strategy but not in the middle. They have the technology as well with all their R & D centers around the world.Just focus Nokia bring the beast, sad to see you going down.
