From the time i have updated ICS to my SII I have been facing some issues like Wifi enabelment some times goes very slow also the most important one is that sometimes without even knowing my phone will be not reachable.. Do you guys think there is any solution..Thanks

Cirez, 15 Jun 2012Any rom with Siyah Kernel is Safe...... stay away from CHAI... moreCF is aware of the issue.. so i'm damn sure he would remove the function 'MMC_CAP_ERASE' from the format data function call.. CF kernels for s2 are always safe.
and one more thing..I guess the samsung patch will be included only in future kernels of official roms.. so if you still flash any insecure kernel and try to format data..you will brick the device if that kernel calls the MMC_CAP_ERASE method... there is no permanent fix for the issue. you have to be carful while erasing data if you have any custom kernel.

Oddly enough, i just ran CF's app and it says mine has the eMMC bug but i have custom rom flashed on it through odin and cwm.
My advice to everyone. Follow your dev's god damn instruction....

I have immediately flashed back to Gingerbread once I read about this bug last week. I really don't want to brick my phone and bring it to repair, especially it contains many important datas for my job! I hope samsung will release a fix very soon!!!!!

So this issue is it a problem only for people flashed thier divices with customised roms or is it also a problem for stick roms?

Samsung Galaxy S 2 just crap,
Always using xperia phones, this time got galaxy S2 as everyone around me holding s2, 2 times are purchased new and sold in market,
while playing racing moto it freez nothing could do unless battery removed and it get very hot the camera area.
2nd one I got again new while I was on skype call using wifi it automatically turned off. and I was able to start after removing and reinserting battery and again sell in market.
I wonder what people like ? my opinion samsung korean is always inferior in quality, Japanese are leader in electronics.

I was warned by the app. It says "DANGER!!"
I never had any problems though. Litening ROM first six months, and now I run CM9 (Wich on the other hand is known to be safe even if it says it's not.)

The solution for this problem as i read in XDA and i did it myself and it's safe:
Download Abyass kernel and flash it then from Advance, Reboot recovery and Abyass recovery will start and it's touchscreen recovery then you are safe to make wipes ...etc

finally ,you posted this ,but you missed the point where it says that the official ICS updates also has the same ERASE command ,thus just as dangerous.

Any rom with Siyah Kernel is Safe...... stay away from CHAINFIRE KERNEL...... Tried and Tested
