Companies like LG, Sony are pretty much dead.
Apple is notorious for stagnating innovation.

You simply can't accept that companies who you thought were inferior are at the forefront of innovation.
You'll change your tune about fast charging above 18W when your so called trusted companies finally decide to give you faster charging.
Till then keep using handicapped fast charging technology while others are reaching 50 percent battery in 10 min and laughing at your stone Age thinking.

I like how people start commenting without knowing anything about the battery life, they increase the charging power by dividing the battery small batteries so each will charge alone, this concept is similar to Tesla cars batteries which has a charging power over 500W and this doesn't affect the battery life

But all the casual users won't find this idea appealing.

Personally I plan to upgrade and basically get multiple power adapters (and magnetic tips adapters) at each charging spots (couch, bed, desk and car) that output low power, and in my desk having the native fast charging adapters for when time is important and quick charging would be useful.
Again, as I am a computer nerd, the idea is appealing to me, but most users won't like having to handle different charging cables at the same location (slow and native fast), where as a charger who can output desired lower power than fast charging, but also higher than the regular low power (or extra lower) would be way more useful !
Mainly if the charging speed can be handled by a profile + typical activity periods, that can be based on schedule and battery level.

For me, companies like LG, Google, Apple, Sony sticking with 20W or below charging is enough proof that higher wattage charging degrades batteries. Even Tesla is not exceeding 3.3C charging and admits that supercharging is not good for the battery.

Why would any sane person use a 120W (24Amp) charger? Just to kill the phone battery in a few months? 18W QuickCharge is more than enough for any reasonable use-case scenario, and is MUCH better for the battery. Whenever possible I even try to use a 10W standart boxed charger.

[deleted post]Western companies also make some bad quality items (i.e. phones), ex. Google Pixel 4 and iPod Touch.

Actually Chinese companies have tried to attempt to copycat several times (notch and punch hole phones, iOS and OneUI-like user interface) and not admit that they've actually plagiarized. Speaking of which quality of their products depend, usually on price

There you go, independent lab testing finds degradation by 8-9% over 800 charge cycles for 65W fast charging.
With batteries easily lasting over a day owing to their big capacity, You are looking at 2-3 years of use and its producing same degradation as those phones with weak 5-10W fast charging over a similar span.

It's been almost 3 years since Huawei, OnePlus and others have provided 30W and above Fast charging.
If what you say was true, Internet forums would have been filled with battery degradation issues on these devices.
Those famous big brands simply want to milk their customers.

Chinese manufacturers are at the forefront of innovation when it comes to fast charging technology.
Keep using your 5W charger bundled with your handicapped ecosystem.

Chinese manufacturers always want you to see this big numbers. Is like they have superiority issues. Always want to be first in releasing something, always want the biggest numbers. And except for pricing, they aren't good at anything.

Don't give me wrong, I will always be for fast charging (not 5W little Apple brick), but this numbers are ridiculous. What is wrong with 20W or 30W?

I could put Nokia and Samsung on this list, but I had some good models too from them. More good models than bad ones.
