Its only shame that this phone never ... moreI think next year(2021) can be a perfect year to announce a powerful ARM SoC.
Because The A55 is very old. It's not very power efficient now.
So if a SOC maker use 2*X1 core + 4*A78 core with only 2 A55 core@1.6GHz, the SoC will be a lot more powerful.

MediaTek has done better in the Benchmark previously too. But those SoC didn't do any good in real life.
I was hoping that the newer MediaTek flagship might be better.
But ALAS ! No phone with that SoC.

Poco F2 pro destroyed the iPhone 11
Plenty of tests where iPhone 11 lagging behind miserably only to take lead in pubg or video rendering.
So iPhone is faster in those two occasions but slower in everything else.
An SOC or phone can't be considered fastest if it excels in 2 things while lags behind in everything else.
Final results isn't counted by total time taken.
But by total amount of individual victories.
Did you even watch the tests?
BTW, What you think about Dimensity 820?
Does it still suck compared to Snapdragon equivalent?

You should watch some Laptop review.
Specially thin gaming laptop. How badly they handle temperature.
Including a fan isn't solution.
Even with the efficient Qualcomm CPU the nubia red magic 3 throttles.
So, think about a midpower intel CPU there. It's gonna blow.
I mean why're we even fighting over for ?
It's a simple solution.
If it were possible Some brands would already have done it.
None has done it means it's not possible yet.

Most people I know after putting their phones in a case make their phones heavy and big.
I use a naked case which doesn't add much bulk.
Besides you get used to it.
Nobody complains about these things after using the phone for a couple of weeks just like people get used to punch holes and slippery glass back.

Those device(laptop) you're talking about can't handle games.
There are some U series CPU from intel which can be used without fan but need a great passive cooling. Phones cannot provide that.
You also need to understand that the size of laptop CPU is much bigger than Phone's SoC.
Besides ARM's technology is better.
So, even if someone plan to use high power SoC they should use ARM technology.

Any laptop under 1000$ isn't ideal for gaming. That's the truth.
