Of course it will be cheaper, because it's already been confirmed by most trusted leakers Note 20 will still be using Exynos 990 and not the so called improved SOC 992, which mean more margin for Samsung to release the SD865 Plus to the selected market while pushing the inferior 990 to the rest of the world, which mean they can lower down the price even more. Again, a lot of people will fall to this trick, just like how they fall for the so called reliable leak that Samsung S20 will come with SD865 to all market end of last year. It's called fake marketing, releasing fake info to create an illusion that the new product will be better, and let the media do their work to spread the news, and finally during the launch Samsung doesn't even put a single mention to what SOC the phone will use, just 'a new 7nm octacore CPU' to confuse people even more.

Samsung is among the company who get least profit margin per phone.
For example Samsung S20 ultra's only built cost is 20% more than the iPhone 11pro max(excluding labor, development, advertisement cost).
Besides I think Samsung missed some strategy for S20 series.
The main problem is Samsung included all flagship camera sensor for all s20s. Main, ultrawide,Telephoto all are flagship sensor.
That was a mistake. This alone bumped the price 50$ and Qualcomm SoC set was also 50$ higher. That's a 100$ bump.
Another mistake was firing up exynos custom core division before the S20 series was properly optimized. That resulted in Exynos 990 chaos.
Look at Sony Xperia 1 II. Using crap tele sensor still priced at 1200$.
Still I think the base version of Note 20 will be 999$. No matter how they try it's not possible to get down lower than that.
If they drop the periscope 48MP then the Note 20 ultra might cost 1349$(1299$ for coronavirus). Not less than that.
I think this year's best value for money flagship is Vivo X50 pro+.

Are you sure the device you are talking about comes with warranty or brand new(not refurbished) ?
Besides I was talking about launched price. As the Note20 launch is close Samsung has given upto 200$ discount for all S20s. Not more than that.
Still the price is far more than your price.

I don't care if Samsung gives me this new phone for free! I don't want it, not would I take it. Why? Samsungs awful planned obsolescence program. Two years and no more upgrades, even if you did spend $1000+ for their phone. Samsung has lost this long time customer for good.

As long as they have a curved display for a note device, it's reducing the original display size, some times when you hold it touch automatically and very annoying and irritating the curve display.
