I don't think it will have SD 865 because the scores are too low for 865 maybe it's 765 or 768

What about the consumers in Europe who already have had trouble with the exynos chips, will we get the same chips again and a downgraded phone from Samsung, who will start losing buyers if the exynos chips do match the snapdragon ones

Samsung can cut costs with a lower quality screen (smaller display size, lower display resolution as well as refresh rate), maybe introduce the ISOCELL GN1 sensor with just 2 cameras at the back. The lesser RAM is also perhaps a better idea, and maybe lesser storage if it helps reduce costs further.
Next Year's S21 should have atleast 4 models, and the lowest one should have much lower size and resolution screen with a lower refresh rate too. The 1st 2 models could cur corners to ensure much lower pricing.

Anonymous, 13 Jul 2020It's designed to compete with Chinese flagships which ... moreYeah, with all the premium brands producing $1000+ phones, this is a welcome change. Always been hesitant of buying IQOO, Realme, Poco, I mean, how is the customer support after buying these ? Do they have ample service centres in your area ? What if the phone just doesn't switch on one day ?

AnonD-558092, 13 Jul 2020Not always. S8 Lite anybody? Tab S6 Lite? The original poster said "Samsung's definition". And he is right. When Samsung introduced the S10 lite and the Note10 Lite they said the following in the announcement:
"The Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note10 Lite will introduce those distinct key premium features that make up a Galaxy S and Galaxy Note experience." And those key features are display, battery, services and security for a competitive price.
I just feel bad for people who bought the original S20-series with this horrible Exynos SoC. Now they are gonna get screwed with the S20 lite, when this toned-down flagship runs circles on its bigger brothers.

AnonD-558092, 13 Jul 2020Not always. S8 Lite anybody? Tab S6 Lite? But, the recent S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite have exactly been the definition of what he said. Top of the line chipset & display, with above-average camera & RAM.

Is this the same as what other tech sites are calling S20 FE (Fan Edition) ? This is starting to look really good. Waiting for this and the Asus Zenfone 7/7 Pro, going to buy one from this lot. I hope they are a bit compactly-sized.

what makes it Lite if it uses SD865? that doesn't seem very lite to me, would not mind some SD6xx/7xx SoC while keeping good camera and especially small size
