Ali Bashir, 17 Jul 2020I have nothing against the Chinese industry, more like i su... moreIt is a proprietary technology as others don't have access to it.
Chinese are providing innovation in battery fast charging ecosystem whole Sony is giving weak workaround solutions like HS control.
Keep using inferior tech.

I'll choose innovation over workaround garbage.

Coming to the point, 40W/65W do deteriorates battery faster than the mobiles I use (Non ultra fast charging device). I'm a Sony fanboy but not a stupid man.

Since charging speed is a technology for you then i don't blame you.

So much bragging about the Zeiss lens yet failing.

You forgot to mention low light video which was just bad to be honest.
Other phones are way ahead in that department.

This video looks spectacular, the 21:9 views must be the trends now on and future. The LOOK color science looks very nice for the mood and inspiration.

honestly its not bad, but what makes this look good is mainly color grading and decent editing.

what's missing (speciallying viewing this on a big screen):

              - better stabilization. you can tell its a light little phone by how the frame moves around.
              - better shutter angle control (but you mentioned that)
              - dynamic range is poop - but i dont know if they can do a lot about that. i think its passable.
              - sharpness - that's the killer imo. it doesnt look very sharp at all. it doesnt have to be great, but a good 50% better would make this look amazing (and im not saying software sharpning)

              What is good:
              - focus works great. better than many expensive cameras
              - exposure control seems great, though maybe its just a skilled cameraman. there isnt any bad shift, there isnt any uneven exposition

These are things other phones don't do well and only the xperia does well. But IMO it seems "at least one more of the above" to truly differenciate.

Ali Bashir, 17 Jul 2020Zero reliability, bash the brand but try retaining some rel... moreForget Sony, every other manufacturer which is stuck on 18W charging is using regular Li-pro batteries which give maximum 300-400 charge cycles before degradation starts kicking in.
So they arrive at 90% degradation on an average with around 500 charge cycles.

Xiaomi, Oppo and others have improved battery components and tweaked batteries to handle the higher Watt fast charging they provide.
This is how they can give higher capacity batteries along with their batteries being capable of handling high Watt charging at the same time providing 600-800 charge cycles before degradation kicks in.

With batteries easily lasting over a day owing to their big capacity, You are looking at 2-3 years of use and its producing same degradation as those phones with weak 5-10W fast charging over a similar span.

It's been almost 3 years since Huawei, OnePlus and others have provided 30W and above Fast charging.
If what you say was true, Internet forums would have been filled with battery degradation issues on these devices.
Those known big brands like Apple, Samsung, LG, Sony simply want to milk their customers.

Chinese manufacturers are at the forefront of innovation when it comes to fast charging technology.
Keep using your outdated 18W charger.

Most of these shots could have been taken in Photo Pro's 200 burst images sequence in 20fps and then interpolated in Resolve or similar to 25fps. That way you get insane out of camera detail.

Based on your statement, charging once a day means during the night, so do you watch over your phone while its charging because you don't have to.
