SteveFOX, 26 Jul 2020Glad that most people see that it just doesn't work.
... moreWhy does it even matter what processor it has? Or are you just a victim of marketing ?
If you are an avid gamer, sure go for the flagship processor, if you are just regular person who is browsing, taking pics, using social media, mails etc. why would you care?
All other aspects of the phone are literally the same or if not best than 7T

I use cable anyway as its faster. 20+108+12+5mp is good enough, even more if 12mp tele is full of detail and with hi end specs like main cameras got.
It got jack, raw 27mp files are worthy too. Its hard to find faults for that money.

When they gave everything good as the display, SoC but on camera they just followed that cheap tactic Xiaomi and Realme keep doing putting depth/macro sensor making it so called quad camera, tho main cam has OIS which is good. SoC shouldve been non 5G to price cut.
If it had a Telephoto sensor it'd hve been great but they chose this so called useless Quad camera u see on $250 category. And a 4G chipset.

It's over-hyped. You already have Realme X50 5G for 349€ with the same SoC, 120Hz display, dart charge etc or Realme X2 Pro 399€ with 855+ SoC, 90Hz display etc or Xiaomi K30 Pro and there's other alternatives.

I don't believe OnePlus ever claimed Nord to be a flagship killer.. All talk of the OnePlus history / old userbase. To be a flagship killer there has to be a compromise some where, full stop. And for those on you want to take the old gen OnePlus, the compromise is clear - you're betting on a upcoming new company that has a unknown future - service, support, parts, etc. If Nord don't screw up on the software update, this is a very reasonable priced/feature phone. It may can do ted better on pricing, but overall it a fair trade. Certainly beating the LG Velvet, Sony Xperia 10 II imho (pricing for the name, waay too much), better software and developer friendly compare to Xiaomi, Realme and if they don't screw up - official updates Motorola, ZTE and sometimes Asus.

I've never been a fan of OnePlus guerrilla marketing strategies. However, I truly hope this phone will be a game changer. Xiaomi and the likes don't really value the European market, since they usually nerf critical flagship-alike features such as OIS, that are available in Asia specific variants of the same model. The Poco F2 Pro rebrand of the wrong K30 Pro is a prime example of this.
Furthermore, I would rather have phones that are made to be great in practical use, rather than phones made to look great on the spec sheet and press release pictures but are then far inferior in software, support, and actual day-to-day experience. I do feel like most of the criticism comes from those who put the spec sheet over the actual functionality. Features like OIS, high-refresh rate AMOLED, and second ultra-wide selfie camera may not look as amazing in the spec sheet as the latest and grandest SoC, but they do make a very big difference in many real day-to-day use-cases. That's the elephant in the room: there is a reason why these very same companies can sell those flagships at near 1000€, those "small details" make such a difference that discerning people are willing to pay for the premium. The OnePlus Nord has just changed that.

JDK, 26 Jul 2020They pose embargo? Lol. Maybe for GSMA, not sites like the ... moreShow me a single site or youtube channel that shows Nord's camera samples. Maybe they've allowed reviewers to do the camera samples before (presumably on phones that had good cameras, but all the reviews of Nord I've seen or saw said that they can't show the camera samples.
I find it pathetic that OnePlus opens orders for the phone but doesn't allow users to see how the camera performs, hence the "pig in the poke" remark.

Can’t understand the hype around this phone. How much money did Oneplus spend to these youtubers and reviewers. There’s nothing special in here. Even the cameras are lackluster. This serves only as a Bandaid to the fact that Oneplus is not a “flagship performance on a budget phone” maker anymore. They are now just any other company that became greedier and greedier.
