Anonymous, 05 Sep 2020Had Charge 3 for nearly two years, worked fine until August... moreSame as everyone else. After the update the screen has dimmed so much that I cannot see to make any changes on the device. It is useless now and I will be looking to buy a fitness tracker from another company. No more Fitbits.

Anonymous, 05 Sep 2020Had Charge 3 for nearly two years, worked fine until August... more1) The screen dims and wrist flick doesn't work as it is in sleep mode, to fix hold button and click sleep.
2) The heart rate is off so turn it on again by going to setting and toggling heart rate. That means you get basic sleep as the heart rate monitor is required for sleep stages.

Anonymous, 05 Sep 2020Had Charge 3 for nearly two years, worked fine until August... moreI echo this person’s comments. One day an update appears out of the blue and once installed, the screen is dimmed and entire rows of the display are turned off or damaged. By scrolling I can see what is missing on the display. But FitBit obviously did not do enough testing before issuing the update. I don’t need FitBit 4 features on my FitBit 3; I just need the FitBit 3 to continue doing its job as well as it did before the update. I’m not seeing any formal admission by FitBit of the problem. Do they think they’re Apple?

I’ve given up after continuous use since October 2012. Very sad to leave but the Charge 3 did me in! Dull screen from 6 months old to now nothing, needing to re-pair EVERY time to sync, notifications never working, alarm setting no longer on the app etc

Try pressing and holding the side button until DND shows, then press tap on the sleep, the brightness will come back and you can use the wrist flick function. It makes it a Bit easier to set silent alarms when you can see what your doing. Not a great update but at you'll hopefully be able to use your fitbit again.

My charge 3 updated and all of the alarm settings are on the device instead of in the android phone software. i figured out the dimming feature on the device. the screen is too small to set the alarms compared to the phone app. my device no longer turns on when i raise my wrist to check the time. the software / firmware "update" was a downgrade to my product. the sync to my android took several days of playing around, deleting, and re-adding the device to my phone. i rely on the device to wake me as i have a varied schedule.

This is my third Fitbit two cracked screens in heat of holiday sun and now a black screen, tried rebooting for 8 and 15 seconds neather worked. Complete waste of money and I will never buy another Fitbit.

Thanks for input. I've been reluctant to do the update, after reading these I don't think I will

Had Charge 3 for nearly two years, worked fine until August 2020 update. Since then, screen dimmed and lined, no heart rate or sleep data. Rebooting/ resetting makes no difference. No helpful advice. Disappointed doesn’t come close.
