There exists no smartphone brand who cares about mobility . Everyone has forgotten what the form factor of a true smartphone should be . Everyone is busy in competition for the best .Xiaomi recently launched POCO X2 and they call it a smartphone *cough-spit*. Its a phablet weighing more than 200grams. Why don't yall just make tablets huh.
I understand internal hardware requires space and stuff. But still Why don't they dare to imitate the S10E . Its the best smartphone one can get with display less than 6 inches , powerful hardware and a fine moderate camera.
Realme is a brand competing in the budget segment so why is there no smartphone for those don't play games and keep their phone in their "POCKETS AND NOT IN A BAG"

What will they do, stop giving them review units? Not give them any more interviews? Lol.

Also his explantation of realme's confusing naming is really lame. He literally said,"Our job is not to confuse customers). Yet there are 2 realme 6is in the world with totally different specs, one also being the narzo 10. He never explained the transition from X50 to X3 and how the X3 is somehow better than the X50(855+ vs. 765G)?

And I totally doubt about software support, even certain phone that they release last year didn't get Android Q update.
I use Realme5Pro and I'm sure it'll get at least Android R update, but probably nothing after that..

Well, he isn't wrong, literally Samsung needed to patch their Telephoto as they gave crappy results, and considering a 108MP sensor do barely more than a 12MP on an Xperia or Pixel, the tech is actually rushed, we barely touched 48MP which is a good sweetspot, and jumped too fast on the 64MP that Samsung wanted to play big numbers and release a 108 MP which despite being overkill, don't do better than a IMX689 which prefer a good tech over sheer raw number.
Photography on smartphone is a complex data analysis requiring complex softwares and AI that haven't mature for that level yet.
It is like the Nokia 9 which was a really good idea, but without a proper software to do with it, making it a big fail.

AnonD-909757, 25 Jul 2020Lets break it down : Q) First question literally say wha... morelol I gave you a rating point for the effort of breaking the whole thing down, however to me the article still feels like a paid commerical, i.e. how you mentioned "literally doesn't want to compare to the other brands while he could have bashed them and doesn't once say anything other than they want to make the best possible by avoiding to jump on some techs too soon." (in reply to his /or his marketing team's/ 108MP comments) - he literally DOES bash other brands saying "it requires a very high level of software readiness not just by any brand but by the whole industry" which implies the competitors aren't ready either, despite the fact that other brands who have used 108MP sensors delivered excellent results already.

Believe what you want to believe, to me it's a paid interview.

I guess it makes sense, if their idea that with a pop-up camera alone a phone has to be 9.4 mm thick (Realme X, way before 5G), just imagine how thick their phone would have to be if you added 5G! Infeasible!

In all seriousness, he's just talking nonsense. Then he's trying to justify it by saying it's the screen manufacturers that dictate the design. You think those notch/punch hole cutouts are standardized? No dude, you decide what design you want and they will make them to specifications. Honestly.

Why does his face look so smug, like he's some sleazy drug lord that gives you a $hit-eating grin because you know what he does but he knows you can't prove it

Processing can be great even with hi res sensor, nokia was example, so was huawei with its 40mp, it was not the best at beginning but still better than low res alternatives.
What I see mostly considering naming/specs segmentation, in europe there is a lot of brands with worse specs, like with exynos, different cameras, etc. and I don't believe its some sort of difference in market.
Them not including jack in phones is the same as sony, swayed by others for no logical reason(excluding money they get from bt buds downgrade...).

TechEnthusiast, 26 Jul 2020You know poco f2 pro is a 5G phone with a pop up camera and... moreYes, I answered another person who also gave me the K30 Pro/Poco F2 Pro as an exemple.
As I said, not only the difference between the two is that the Realme X50 Pro, which is comparable, have more complex 5G by having more bands available, and the K30 Pro is an exemple of the extreme case as they literally stacked the motherboard into two layers to get enough space.
Also I didn't say it is impossible, I said it probably wasn't possible back them (one year ago, after they abandoned the pop up) without compromises.
As for feasibility, thrust me, I am well aware that it is possible, actually I even made a electromagnetic actuated pop up design to basically prove to pop up haters that it could be improved past any "issues/weakness" it currently have.
As it would allow for a way smaller/more compact design (as you get rid of the motor) and have basically no wear and make it totally waterproof as the electromagnets would act through the phone's thin wall separating the pop up from the rest of the phone.
And since it only act in burst rather than continuously, it wouldn't cause interference issues that couldn't get mitigated, I actually designed a whole fictional concept phone around this pop up concept, though it isn't really done as I'll redo it completely in a better software to get more details and a better render, here it is if you are curious :
                                  https://imgur.com/gallery/ykYfaa6
Though it isn't even a final design, I've way more advanced, futuristic (but feasible) tech for that, like a dynamic meta lens and mirrors for example that would make regular moving lenses obsolete.
