Qualcomm announces Quick Charge 5: 100W+ speed lets you fill a battery to 50% in 5 minutes

A full charge will take only 15 minutes. The new standard runs 10°C cooler than QC4 while delivering 4 times the power to the battery.

    Qualcomm basically pulled an Apple move and expects that we would just accept this and move on. Innovators like Apple and Qualcomm know what they're doing.

          Finally Qualcomm catching up to Chinese fast charging technology.
          Where are the Sony, LG, Apple fans now? They'll be able to get 100W as well provided their manufactures support it out of the box.
          Now suddenly all those myths about higher Watt fast charging will vanish into thin air.
          Chinese manufacturers are at the forefront of innovation while others are simply playing catchup.

            I'm more excited for graphene batteries than 100W fast charging. 30W is plenty fast for me. I still want the battery to last long when it's old.
