It does not really matter what chip is inside. Majority of the customers of this phone don't ever know what is Exynos and Snapdragon!

S2: didn't use SD chip.
S3: didn't use SD chip.
S4: SD600 was on par with Exynos 5410.
S5: SD801 was better than Exynos 5422.
S6: didn't use SD chip (Exynos 7420 was way better).
S7: Exynos 8890 was better than SD820
S8: SD835 was better than Exynos 8895.
So no. Exynos wasn't always better in S series.

So, that means that Exynos will finally have an FM radio chip? If not, there will always be at least one thing Exynos in not on par with SD.

The new improved Exynos 990 will be built on 5nm technology. It will be same processor but built on next generation fabrication process. Old core on new tech. It is my prediction. Samsung has 5nm tech, they will not sit on this for new year. If they need business then they have to move ahead of the others.

While Exynos 990 was around 1.1 Tflops and Snapdragon 855 was Around 1.2 Tflops there was no big gap like so called "expert "said kirin 990 in another hands just score 895 gflops that Huge gap indeed.

Nice tip to defend Samsung.
Ice Universe, one of the most reliable Samsung tipsters, doesn't mention anything about increased performance or anything. He already knows that Samsung's Exynos 990 is going to underperform like heck as it was in the S20.
No matter the size of the heatsink or vapor chamber it's still going to toast the battery anyway. Shocking that an Exynos Samsung could not beat any iPhone with batterygate.
Samsung S8 is slower in games than an already throttled (and not that fast by today's standards) iPhone 7. iPhone 7 gives you better framerates in most games, but not the best. S8? Lags here and there 😃
