Galaxy Note20 and Note20 Ultra will get three major Android OS updates

That's up from two in theory, so it's good news for longevity.

I am very happy that there is starting to be competition with android oems who will give longest software support for their most flagships and other expensive phones.

I am never going to buy phones from oems which are terrible to update their phones even the security updates are lacking with most android oems.

Will see if some oem like nokia will up their update game and will make it big feature that they will give great support even for their mid range phones.

      Security updates are way more important than Google watering down Android to IOS levels with every new update.

        S9 series don't go further from 10 right?

              "Up to 3" might be 1, 2 or 3. And considering how volatile is the smartphone market, I wouldnt bet to get 3 OS updates...

                  Well, these are news. As a user of the galaxy flagships I think it is good to have at least 3 updates. That will give a lifespam of 4 years without being outdated, and the resale value won't go down drastically.

                      With 1-2 years release. Good to know. Nobody has note 20 in 2025-30.
