Huawei might use Mediatek while UNISOC gets a new high end SOC with Power VR GPU.
If nVIDIA buys ARM, is the end of ARM Mali and it might be a very bad news for the low tier processors.

absolutely hate the cut out designs of modern phones

Is this the end of Huawei smartphones?

Wow, i really like the back design!

Kirin is the best. Proud P30Pro user.

                  I hope not.
Release harmony OS for Huawei phones and the problem is siolved son or later people will adopt onto it.
It wil be far better than prebulescent IOS or addsfilled bloatware known as android.

It's really a sad moment when politic interfere with innovation. I really hope China can accelerate the ability to produce 5nm chip.

MagicMonkeyBoy, 07 Aug 2020This will only help China to be stronger... And make there ... moreIt is about using tech based on ARM's.
ARM uses tech based on someone else's that is from USA.
Modems used tech created by Qualcomm.

It won't be a problem - China is huge and has the worlds biggest internal market and support. They just develop a new chip like they did with their Harmony OS

                              Apple should do same.
Running iOS, even Snapdragon 400 would easily score 400.000 antutu.

Wonder if it will be able to run xCloud. I would say its pretty important, about as much as to be able to run most of apps.

Kirin will be missed especially since last two mid range SoC were killer (810 and 820) hopefully all turns well
And there is no SoC Huawei can use because of ARM

The Ban blocks US vendors from doing any business with Huawei. That means Snapdragon is out of the question.

So if Huawei has to choose between Mediatek (Taiwanese) & Exynos (South Korean), then i surely hope they go for Exynos. Exynos 1000 SoC is looking real good on paper, and seeing how Samsung has brought AMD on board for the GPU development, it seems likely that the upcoming Exynos silicon will be better than usual. I'd place my bets on that personally.
