765g? I bet this will cost above 600$, yet they don't want to give you flagship chipset.

Anonymous, 11 Aug 2020I had the original Pixel XL, so I'm interested to see ... moreEverone keeps saying no XL models of the 5, but when you look at the rumored specs, the screen size is bigger then the original 5 XL. I have a feeling its a bigger phone which is why there is no XL version.

I had the original Pixel XL, so I'm interested to see if there'll be an XL version of this phone. Understandably, the Pixel 4A is an excellent phone for its price, but it's missing some features that I hope will exist in the 5. I'm okay with the choice of chipset as long as the battery is big and Android 11 is good.

If the upper tier 5 only comes in one giant slab size as stated, that would be a massive retail shame.
The 4a and 4a5g is no Pixel 5.
I so want a 5 but looks like ill just have to stick with the 3 flagship if that giant thing comes to be

When will Google ever have a 4K screen? Samsung and other companies have been doing it for some time. Come on Google it's time to step up to the plate and hit a grand slam.

The Pixel 5 should not exceed $600ish, if Google wants to succeed. Google isn't Samsung and even Samsung phones are way over priced like Apple. I will NOT pay $1000+ for a phone. The Pixel line should cost at most $649 if using the 7 series chipset. The chip drives the cost up and that's why the SD 855/855+ has phones in the higher $999+ range.
I currently have the 3a XL and I have been satisfied with the the phone vs cost factor. This is what One Plus historical has managed to do but Google upped the ante with a superior camera system at a very affordable price.

I really liked my 3 XL but so far I haven't even seen they will have a 5 xl so it may be back to samsung which is a shame. I enjoyed the no wait updates and the design but things seem like they are skipping for the pixel line.

If the Pixel 5 ends up not being a flagship, and Google will still be willing to ask a little bit lower flagship price, I'll be giving up on the Pixel line. I've got the OG XL, 2 XL and 4 XL and I'll be forced to look for a company that actually knows what its doing in the industry. Google made far too many mistakes with every single iteration of their devices, except the 'A' series.
