giant companies like google and samsung are literally taking their position as granted, for Pixel5 to have 765G on their flagship device with $700 price tag and for samsung to give downgraded note20 with price tag of $1000.
they dont know things change faster than they would think,,, have they forgot the fate of Nokia, they went from number1 to non existing within years.

From spyware with a high end chipset to spyware with a mid tier chipset. Anything that Google touches becomes trash, just look at YouTube for example xD.

There's no reason to buy Pixel phones for anything other than the camera. Pixel 4a is a good phone and it's reasonably priced. But this? Assuming they go through with it. A NON-FLAGSHIP phone for 700 dollars? This is absolutely insane. And I don't care how good the camera will be, there's no way a phone with a mid-range chipset should cost this much. No way.

Pass. Not looking to downgrade to a newer device(that doesn't even sound right) very happy with my 4XL. Hopefully next year they'll bring back facial recognition, along with soli. Add that to their own SoC(WhiteChapel) and that's a winner. FP sensors are sooo 2014

I'm ok with what they're doing but if they get rid of face unlock I'm staying with the Pixel 4xl 🤷🏽♂️

Manufacturers know how to use any hardware and how to support it with better software. For them who shouts sdxxx is cheaper etc... Do they really have knowledge of that chipset, for them higher the number higher the product, so dump...

Anonymous, 11 Aug 2020So apple slaps their highest end cpu in their cheapest devi... moreApart from the fact Apple makes the chips in their phones so they aren't paying over the odds like Qualcomm charge. Also, look at the cutbacks the iPhone SE2 has, small low Res screen, huge bezels, tiny battery. Pick your poison I say because I don't see the point in that high end processor in a tiny phone like that in 2020.

sm4rt4ss, 11 Aug 2020To be Fair. The 765G is more than enough for everday use, g... moreHeh except poco, a poorer company could afford to price the f2 pro with SD865 for $500 and Google has no "it's expensive because the hardware is top of the line" excuse since their products have poor qc not to mention the camera sensor could be older/cheaper since the processing is on the software side.
