RejZoR, 13 Aug 2020Except iPhone has one of best displays, one of best cameras... moreOne of the best of course. But not the best.
Apple is late to the game with almost every hardware feature available on other devices. Big battery, 5x +zoom/macro camera, better screen to body ratio, higher resolution or refresh rate and so on. Of course they have pulled out some unique features but
For a trillion dollar company it must have the best phone money can buy not not just recycling the same Form factor for ages and incremental upgrades.

Berserker, 13 Aug 2020No wonder how Apple can sell the same phone design for ages... moreYeah the design is not as beautiful as Android phones, true. Even though, except for the notch, I like how iphones look, and more importantly how they feel in the hand. No plastic or cheap materials like you see in some mid-range Android phones and even some flagship Android phones.
When it comes to hardware, is not that is not important. But, if you can make a 2GB phone, with some 3-4 years old chipset (let's say iphone 7), work and perform flawlessly with the latest software, do you really care that it has 2GB ram and old chipset?

RejZoR, 13 Aug 2020This. This so much. I was so sick and tired of Android upda... moreWe all learned with android and it’s poor update situation.I also started early on Android, my first android had android Donut (1.6) and I used android up to android 10,year after year of crap updates on Flagship samsungs, updates being controlled by networks and regions, pure mess of a situation.
I just love how on Apple devices no matter where you are in the world,no matter your carrier or region you get the update the same day as everyone else,no nonsense waiting. :)

Bogdan, 13 Aug 2020That is why I like IOS in comparison with my past Android p... moreThis. This so much. I was so sick and tired of Android updating bullshit. New major Android version is launched and you wait for months just to then get info you're left out because dumb 2 years have already ran out. Where on iOS, people are running 4 years old phones and they are rocking latest versions of iOS that they go tthe moment it came out. And Android has been this way since beginning of time. I've had phone with Froyo that never got Gingerbread because vendor made up an excuse it's not powerful enough. I then installed CynaogenMod on it in GINGERBREAD flavor and it worked even faster. I'm susprised I stayed with Android till Android Pie (9.0) and witnessing this BS with every single phone and every single update...

Bogdan, 13 Aug 2020That is why I like IOS in comparison with my past Android p... moreIt’s beautiful isn’t it? :D same here, and it’s not just iPhone it’s also iPad and Apple Watch to :D no need to wait for variant and network crap, you see the announcement and you go update.
In android sometimes you are even lucky to get an update at all lol. Android tablets and wearOS devices barely see updates of ever, they get released buggy and stay like that until EOL.

That is why I like IOS in comparison with my past Android phones.
Immediately when I saw a post on gsmarena about new software update, I look in my phone and the update is there.
With my past Android phones (even flagship phones) I needed to wait 3-4 months after the release of Android new software to receive it on my phone. I don't know about you, but when I pay 750-1000EUR for a phone, I expect the best of the best, not waiting and praying things will be alright.
That is why I changed to IOS. No matter what model of iphone you have, if it's eligible for update, you receive the software in the same day. Period.

Fearghast, 13 Aug 2020No, not doing real beta tests, testing new features etc. wi... moreYou can do billion BETA versions and countless days of debugging and you can still end up with bugs and glitches. Pretending otherwise just means you have no clue about app development and how it works and how/when it doesn't work.

RejZoR, 13 Aug 2020Adding new features always poses higher chance for bugs and... moreNo, not doing real beta tests, testing new features etc. will get you to this point ... there no "argument" it's so complex ... Apple is just lazy and they are cutting cost.
The bugs I encountered since I jumped on Apple band wagon on iOS 9 is unbelievable.

[deleted post]Adding new features always poses higher chance for bugs and glitches. Also iOS 13 really wasn't buggy at all. Been on it since day 1 and never really had any issues.

What about the heating issue? My old iPhone 7 Plus gets warm when I use it from just browsing the web or streaming videos.
