Apple: "No one needs a quad core processor, it's a waste of time and our OS is so good it doesn't need it."

Samsung: "We're on course to ship 19 million S3 phones this year.

Apple: "Our next phone will be quad core........"

So we're effectively going to be getting a Galaxy S3 in an iPhone case running IOS6?

(This is a joke by the way for those who lack a sense of humour!)

God, just imagine the cost of an iPhone that's specced like a Galaxy S3... also, are Apple now going to sue Samsung for having quad core phones?

im using both iphone and android. even my iphone4 with only 512mb ram can run smooth. so i think iphone with quadcore will be more more smoother than any other android quadcore. android is very eating memory so much

i wonder how this will work on the AT/T network as well as the other big ones in the US?

i read that the galaxy 3 from samsung released an international quad core version but the US AT/T version is only dual core cause the quad core doesnt work on AT/T's network. instead they gave their phone double the memory.

does anyone know if its true?
also, how will this quad core for apple work on AT/T?

"Expect these impressive Snapdragons to also hit the shelves around Q4 of this year." - Since when any of these embedded processor hit the stores on their own? It would have been better to simply write , "Expect these impressive Snapdragons become available for mobile hardware consumption around Q4, this year."

Tim, 06 Jul 2012I agree. iOS is "smooth". But it is definately no... moreIt's either smooth and slow, or fast but jittery..

you can't have both in the iPhone.. So they chose the former..

You want both? Put in extra cores, and you'll be fast and smooth like android/WP..

I would rather see more efficient and relevant software than having faster chips disguising inefficient software full of bloatware.
