Sony unveils an Xperia 1 II with 12 GB of RAM in limited edition Frosted Black color

This phone will be available SIM free and it has two SIM slots. The company also unveiled dual SIM versions of 2019's Xperia 1 and 5.

Same behavior during the Xperia 1 II review blaming Gsmarena over shortcomings of the phone in the review.

      This is the best phone of 2020, right here, right now
      The S865 is perfect, and since S865+ Note20s have terrible termal management, I'm ready to bet that X1 II is still top.

      The video/photo experience is unheard of, we're taking semi-professional,
      both hardware and software wise. This is not your point & shoot gram device, and that's okay !
      So quit complaining and go back to your Exynos plastic back dumpster fire !

        They should try and make an out going Call's and incoming calls type of phone. Some of Sony's phones are just not up to it.

            Some brands wants your battery to charge faster and some wants to last longer.

              I would miss hi res, but to be able to capture raw in superwide or tele is better. No toy, real pro camera, for photographers a must.
              I guess also for audiophiles, jack+ldac, whats better out there... only next coming xperia I guess.

                  I have been using Sony Xperia XA1, Since two yeas. Two months ago accidentally mobile felt from my ✋. After that not getting to start display. I searched for authorized Sony service center in Kuwait because I am living in Kuwait. There is no Sony service center in Kuwait such a international product not have service center in country. And I wrote service request mail to Sony middle East UAE 8time's. No use I didn't get yet any reply regarding my concern. The product was good, but worse service support I seen ever. I fed up to wait thier reply. finally I bought New mobile. Never in my life have bought Sony's product.

                    Chrome Z5, XZ premium with bezzelles 19:9 ratio.
                    Cmon Sony. It's that difficult?
                    Sadly the Samsung note series are the new Sony for people who like the old sharp industrial omnibalance Form factor.

                      For those who aren't satisfied with this phone, just go away here and find the phone that suits your needs.
                      All your nonsense cryings here wouldn't change a damn thing lol.
                      Not happy with Xperia? Good. Nobody cares.

                          The Alpha engineers have really spent their time really well for a flawless experience.

                              Oh come on dude! I don't hear anyone using super fast chargers that would tell that their battery life remains the same. Really, it's always gonna be degraded even over after a year only, because Lithium batteries are proven scientifically to be more stressed when aggressively charged, and the heat that they produce would lower the maximum capacity that they could hold.
                              In fact, all super fast chargers always heat up considerably, even when the phone's not in use, so imagine how much hotter will they get when they're being charged while also being used at the same time.

                              But hey, defend the wrong idea still! You have to protect your favorite brand's image, right? Keep it up!

                                  Ah, I forgot. You're a fan of them, right? You wouldn't call them out for that, but you'd hate Sony for having 60Hz, which is still a perfectly usable refresh rate unless you're actually going to play games or watch movies in 120fps.
                                  They have Motion Blur Reduction for that, and it greatly mimics a 90Hz refresh rate, and it does so very well at that.
                                  Meanwhile, what about that super useful headphone jack? Your pathetic phones have removed them entirely and wants you to spend a hundred more dollars for their pathetic earbuds, while Sony wants you to use your old but gold and better quality wired headsets. Jokes on you for that.

                                  Sure do, charging speed is yours now, but if it means that the battery will only have a lifespan of 1 to 2 years, then I'd rather have the slightly slower speed but better for the battery health.
                                  For $1000, I certainly wouldn't want to replace my battery any time soon. Good luck trying to keep that 5000mAh capacity still intact after 3 years when regularly charged at very high wattages.

                                        This 8GB RAM Xperia 1 II is already more than capable enough of keeping ALL of your apps running in the background. Absolutely no reloading.
                                        The fact that it can do that while running on the same exact version of Android as any other flagships do just indicates that you really don't need more than that as of now, and this 12GB RAM version is just made to satisfy the ignorants like you who still lives in the old and outdated fashion of "higher numbers = better."

                                        As for fast charging, do you even know the drawbacks of using extremely high wattage chargers? Lithium batteries degrade faster when they are charged faster, no other way about it. If you really want to enjoy 6 months worth of battery lifespan, then there's nothing wrong with it, but for $1000, I want my phone to last even more than 5 years, and charging it constantly at 50W or 100W definitely isn't a good idea to begin with.
