You're probably a Chinese phone user. They're the few who are heavily relied on app killing to save battery instead of doing better optimization.
Samsung or Apple doesn't do that.

Funny thing Samsung mentioned that we didn’t make note 20 ultra 16gb cause the UFS 3.1 doesn’t need more ram!!.

Haven't closed a single app for a week (except it crashed) while measuring RAM usage and my conclusion is 8GB is MORE than enough for a phone because phones tend to close background apps to save battery! So above a certain point no matter how much RAM your phone has it wont hold more apps in RAM because that uses energy which the phone tries to conserve by design! And haven't heard of any app that would require these amounts of RAM
