Qualcomm taps Samsung for manufacture of affordable 5G Snapdragon chipsets

They didn't mention the new Snapdragon 4-series by name, but those are most likely the chips in question.

      Agree that SD 4xx should be discontinued, as 2xx should be used for more less hungry such IoT devices. The 6xx series is barely catch up to "reasonable" daily usage (except for the 675, and perhaps the upcoming 690), let alone the 4xx.

      Can't blame the processing power needed to run the newly apps these days as more and more apps are released without proper optimization and speed consideration. Installing custom rom, if the problem is the bad, heavily modified OS, sometimes helps. But in my experiences, crappy, slowness of daily usage is mostly caused by bad apps - the OS itself is great.

          Further proof that we don't really need the Exynos chipset anymore. Sorry, Samsung.

          I know the Snapdragon 810 fiasco made Exynos the best chipset at that time, but the table has turned now.

              Anything less than 730 is pointless. 6xx is much slower and maybe $5 cheaper than 730. Frankly go MediaTek if aren't going to have 855 or 865

                  Nowdays dont make sense even that series 400 Snapdragon still exists...

                  Just let it die like series 200...it wont "do the job" and for little more you get a série 600.

                  Dont worth the time wasted when even no brand are using snapdragon 400 series actually.
