Apple One will be the name of Cupertino's subscription bundle

11 September 2020
But you won't be able to pay for Apple One from Android devices - that would mean that Google will take a 30% cut.

notneo, 12 Sep 2020So Comunism would be better than this, right? You probably ... moreSlow down boy, if there is something I dislike more than capitalism, it is communism/socialism.
I am totally for private properties and the ability for who deserve it (meaning, doing big good things, not just making profits at the detriment of others) to become rich as well as individual freedom and ability to express self differences.

(Edit, I thought you answered to another comment).
The thing is, there are possibilities to do way better, a true rewarding system where no one loose, where companies get the most money by making good, respectful, eco friendly, safe and quality products, where competition is near inexistant as the market isn't "shared" the same way but still have companies pushed toward innovating and not stagnating nonetheless etc.

But such idea require huge change in the whole politic and economic system, most peoples aren't ready for this.

AnonD-762416, 11 Sep 2020So, Apple kicks Epic out for skipping pay services on Apple... moreThe thing is that Epic published their app on Apple's platform, so used it to reach people, but avoided it when they want you to pay; that is kind of hypocrite too. However, Apple doesn't allow their buyers to install anything outside its store, which is really authoritarian. It's a tough call to know who is right, or 'less wrong' in this case.
On the other hand, Android probably has it easier to have their business approach to be seen more fair, by letting users to install apks outside their store much more easily.

AnonD-909757, 12 Sep 2020No, it's called Capitalism, where the worse practices ... moreSo Comunism would be better than this, right? You probably must like China and its form of 'Comunism', which is very capitalist with much less individual freedom. Or maybe Scandinavian countries, which even themselves don't think Socialism is a good way for their countries to make progress. Or New Zealand way of life, which is kind of expensive and very free market to support business. Or perhaps you like one of the brilliantly successful comunist/socialist countries around the world in the entire history.

AnonD-762416, 11 Sep 2020So, Apple kicks Epic out for skipping pay services on Apple... moreLook who's talking, the guy who totally think it is normal to not have any diversity and that peoples who want something else than the only thing offered by the capitalist strategy of imposing a single product type to the customers, is now complaining that Apple do something capitalist to another brand.

        Talk about hypocrisy here...

        One note here :
The difference is that while Apple make sure their subscriber pay Apple, and not, you know, their only rival, which doesn't do anything bad to anyone as they could easily say it is to make sure only Apple product owners are allowed to subscribe to Apple services (which is fair game as it is their own services) or want to avoid Android data collection during the subscription process.
Epic were the one who did installed spywares in their launcher and cause a huge issue with their exclusivity strategy which is the worse and do impact negatively a lot of peoples, and would be dead by now if it wasn't for Fortnite and free games.

        To be clear :
I'm not saying what Apple do is good, 30% is too much indeed, even though many peoples forget to count the expenses from Google/Apple side with their server and internet bandwidth to host the app.
But you being against Apple here, probably "just because it is Apple", despite it being actually aligned with your earlier behavior, just make your past arguments way less credible.

Funny that's the only peoples who are against the idea of letting everybody having a chance at getting their favorite tech on a smartphone, despite said tech not impacting in the slightest the one against it, are always the one who do this kind of hypocritical comments in the first place.

They should call it iBroke because iPhone buyers users won't have much money left after a couple of years.

Also nicknamed "This is why the world is so bad" and "Being green and avoiding climate change ? Meh, who care that we are dooming ourselves as long as we make profits".

So, Apple kicks Epic out for skipping pay services on Apple's 30% tax platform, but requires Android users to pay for Apple apps outside the Android ecosystem.

Epic's lawyers will at least love the hypocrisy.

PaintNinja, 11 Sep 2020"Second, they can’t actually subscribe from the Androi... moreNow I think about it, that is so true. Apple is very cheeky.

"Second, they can’t actually subscribe from the Android app – they need to do so from an iOS device or a Mac. This is likely to avoid the tax Google charges on in-app purchases (30%)."

Talk about irony. If any other smaller company smaller did that on iOS, they would have their entire app removed!

If can charge from other devices for android version then Microsof and Epic should do the same. :)
